Celebration of National Science Day:

Each year National Science Day is celebrated in India to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on 28 February 1928 and to widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of the people.

Proposed Activities in the Event:
1. Essay Writing Competition:
The participants are expected to write an essay on one of thefollowing specified essay topics in 800-1000 words. Prizes will be given to three best essays under each UG and PG student category.

2. Group Discussion Competition:
The participants will be distributed in groups and will be given one of the following specified topics for group discussion. Each group will be given 15 minutes for discussion. Group Discussions will be judged and prizes will be given to the winners of the competition under each UG and PG student category.

3. Popular Lectures
