Unified Payments Interface Hackathon :
** Hacking is building things that you always wanted to have but no one has built it yet. It’s to come up with an amazing idea and work tirelessly on it. It is to fail, fail again and fail better. Try out new things and learn while doing that. It’s to work together, collaborate and build things that are innovative. It is to be a better programmer.

** With that spirit, National Payments Corporation of India is conducting a hackathon – Unified Payments Interface Hackathon and invites all developers and hackathon enthusiasts to participate in an interesting and engaging hackathon. The next AMA will be conducted on Friday 26th February 4 PM by Sanjay Swamy. The topic of the AMA is “What kind of apps can be built on UPI?” You can register for the AMA at hck.re/iRimY4.
Rules:
General Standards for UPI Hackathon Participation:
** The intent and spirit of the Hackathon is to encourage Participants to build innovative mobile applications using NPCI Sandbox & UPI API opened for the Hackathon event. Each team can have upto 4 members. Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack. You can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
All Entries must meet the following general standards:
** All Entries must can be presented and submitted in English. The application front end can be in English, Hindi or any other Indian regional language. The content of your Entry and any supporting materials must be acceptable for all viewing audiences.
** We will automatically disqualify any Participant or team that submits an Entry or supporting materials that contain data, code, text, sound or images that we, in our sole opinion and for any reason, believe to be malicious, illegal, vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate for public viewing, or that presents us in a negative light.
By submitting an Entry in this Hackathon, you represent:
** That you, your team and the Entry submitted complies with these Official Rules; That the entirety of the Entry is your/your team’s original work; That the demo submitted is solely the work of you or your team. That you/your team have obtained any and all consents, approvals, or licenses required for you to submit your Entry, and that your Entry will not violate anyone else’s rights or the law.
** Your hack must be developed entirely during the UPI Hackathon duration. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc or publicly available commercial libraries. By participating in the hackathon, you agree to the terms and conditions of HackerEarth.
Submissions:
All submissions must meet the following general conditions:
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid and disqualified. All submission materials can be presented and/or submitted in English language unless otherwise specified. Your team is required to make a demo presentation of your application during the judging of the Competition. All the hacks will be made publicly available.
By submitting an entry in this Hackathon, you personally represent to us and confirm in good faith that, to the best of your knowledge and belief that:
Your team’s entry meets all requirements set forth above and in the Conditions for Participation; and Your team’s entry is comprised of your team’s original work; or If your team’s entry includes any material created by someone who is not part of the your team, your team has obtained all necessary consents, approvals, and/or licenses required for your team to include that materials in your team’s entry. Any entry that does not fulfil any of the above conditions will be deemed ineligible and will be disqualified.
Notification:
All notifications we attempt to make to you/your team are subject to the following conditions:
** If you/your team is selected as a finalist you will be asked to present your Entry on stage at the business launch of UPI on April 8, 2016 in Mumbai. You/your team must be on-site and must present to be eligible to win.
** If you/your team is selected as a finalist, we may notify you by sending a message to the email address and/or attempting to contact you at the telephone number provided during the registration.
** If the notification that we send is returned undeliverable, or you are otherwise unreachable, we may disqualify your team and extend an invitation to the next highest-scoring entrant.

** 1st Prize -INR 1lakh
** 2nd Prize-INR 50K
** 3rd Prize-INR 25k
