Indian Gold Coin Design Contest 2015:
In the pursuance of Budget announcement it is proposed to launch Indian Gold Coin. Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India invites design entries from Indian Nationals for the launch of prestigious Indian Gold Coin. Obverse side of the Indian Gold Coin would be Ashoka Chakra and Reverse side would be a design, for which entries are invited. The design shall be selected by Government of India.
The Winning Entry will receive a certificate and cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh through MMTC Ltd.
Guidelines:
** The design must be unique and should not infringe copyright of any other individual or company (should not resemble to any other design or logo)
** The design may depict any event, geography, monument, individual or any salient features of India.
** The design should be scalable.
** The winning design will be the property of Government of India’s nominee agency MMTC Limited and it shall have the right to modify the design as per technical requirements.
** MMTC officials and their family members are excluded to participate in this design competition.
A complete entry should have following:
** Design in jpeg/jpg/png format
** Draft describing the significance of the design in .doc format
Terms & Conditions:
** The competition is open to all citizens of India only except MMTC officials and their family members.
** All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/mode would not be considered for evaluation.
** The winning design would be the intellectual property of the MMTC Limited and the winner cannot exercise any right over it, after acceptance of the prize.
** The design must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
** Multiple submissions of design by the same participant would not be considered.
** The participant must be the same person who has conceptualized and made the design, plagiarism would not be allowed.
** Please note that the design must be original and should not violate any provision of the India Copyright Act, 1957.
** Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition.
** Participant bears the sole responsibility for copyright violation or infringement of intellectual property rights.
** MMTC Limited does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
** MMTC reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the design competition and/or the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform. It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed as to any changes in the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.
Technical Parameters:
** Participants should send the design in JPG/JPEG/PNG format only.
** The design should be made on a digital platform. The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the design in an editable and open file format.
** Participants should not imprint or watermark logo design.
** A small description needs to be provided in the doc file (word format) to explain the concept.
** Design may be in color or black and white. The design should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook and on printed material such as b/w press releases, stationery and signage.
