We proudly announce the DST & Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2016, Anchored by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore for engineering students from India!

Calling all innovators, thinkers and makers of the country to join the revolution! Give your ideas a jump-start by sculpting your innovation with technical support from Texas Instruments, business mentorship & incubation from the best minds of the country – IIM Bangalore and seed funding of INR 2 Crores and product development fund of INR 1.5 crores from the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
How to Enter:
** Think of an innovative idea which has the potential to create the next big product enterprise
** Register your team & faculty mentor on the submission portal –ti.com/iicdc
** Design a solution that uses at least two TI analog ICs and one TI processor
** Submit your project proposal here per the guidelines no later than 23:59 (IST) on July 31, 2016
Contest Structure:
Qualifying Round:
All the teams who submit a proposal enter the qualifying round of the contest. The proposals will be reviewed as per Qualifying Round Judging criteria and the shortlisted teams will enter the quarterfinals of the contest. The shortlisted teams will be announced by August 31, 2016
Quarter Finals:
The quarter finalists can request TI components up to USD $200. The teams will complete their prototype; submit their project report on ti.com/iicdc & a video demonstration [uploaded on YouTube] of their project by Dec 31, 2016. The reports and video demonstration will be reviewed as per Quarter Final Judging Criteria and shortlisted teams will enter the Semifinals. The shortlisted teams will be notified by January 31st, 2017.
Semi-Finals:
Semifinalists will be invited to the Regional Demonstration and Evaluation event for live demonstration and evaluation of their project. These events will be held in February of 2017. The teams will be evaluated as per Semifinal Judging Criteria and shortlisted teams will enter the finals. The shortlisted teams will be notified by March 15, 2017.
Finals:
The finalists will be invited to Final Evaluation event in May of 2017. Select finalists will be provided direct mentorship from IIM Bangalore for Incubation.
Prizes
** Prizes worth INR 50Lakhs to be won at various stages of the contest
** Product Development Fund of INR 1.5Crores
** Seed Fund of INR 2Crores to be distributed among top teams

** Chairman’s Award INR 700000
** First Runner Up INR 350000
** Second Runner-Up Award INR 150000
** Best use of entire TI portfolio INR 70000
** Best video demonstration INR 70000
** Best All Women team INR 70000
