Speak Gourmet With Reynold Contest:

Following are the terms and conditions  that shall be binding on each participant in India  who voluntarily desire to participate in this activity titled “Speak Gourmet With Reynold”  hosted by Star India Private Limited  for the purpose of promotion and viewer engagement of the program MasterChef Australia Season 8 airing on STAR India’s channels Star World & Star World HD  on facebook.com/StarWorldIndia

This Activity is done to select the 10 questions from the participants which Mr. Reynold Poernomo (Finalist in Season 7 of MasterChef Australia Program ) (‘Celebrity’) will be answering in the video interview (‘Interview’). This video Interview will be published on the Star World India Facebook handle, and will mention the name of the Participants whose questions are shortlisted for the Celebrity’s Interview.

Terms and Conditions :
(I) Entrants’ Eligibility:
(a) The activity is open only to persons who are citizens of India and persons who are eighteen years (18) and above during the Activity Period (defined below).

(II) Activity Procedure:
(a) The Activity shall start on May 3, 2016 at 13:00 hours IST and ends on May 5 at 17:00 hours IST (“Activity Period”). The Activity is merely to enable the Participant to send questions to be answered by Reynold on a digital platform. For sake of clarity, the questions need to be about the Program only

(b) Participants can participate in the Activity by submitting their questions (‘Questions’) on the STAR India Facebook Page on the Q&A with the Hashtag #SpeakGourmetWithReynold (‘Hashtag’) and submitting the information requested.

Participant(s) agrees and acknowledges that Questions which will be submitted without fulfilling the above parameters shall not be considered by STAR India and will be considered as null and void. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a valid entry shall constitute a Question posted on the STAR India Facebook page along with the Hashtag as suffix during the Activity Period (‘Entry’).

(c) A total of ten (10) participants’ Questions will be shortlisted by STAR India, based on its sole discretion (‘Final questions’) and while answering the Questions, the Celebrity shall mention the name of the Participant also along with their questions in a video interview.

(d) It is the sole responsibility of the Participant(s) to ensure that the Questions submitted do not infringe the rights of any third party including rights in any intellectual property and shall be original in form. Two or more identical Entries shall be disqualified from the Activity. Participant(s) agrees and understands that submission of more than one Entry shall not result in a higher chance for the Participant(s)’ Entry to get selected as the Final questions.

(e) The Questions will be shortlisted by STAR India on the basis of the creativity and uniqueness of the questions and any other criteria as STAR India may deem fit. STAR India reserves the rights to shortlist the Questions to be sent to the Celebrity. By way of reiteration, the shortlisting process is per the sole discretion of STAR India. The decision of STAR India is final and binding in this regard.

(f) The Participants shall ensure that the Entry including the questions submitted are not indecent and are not immoral, defamatory, abusive, offensive, insensitive, libellous or blasphemous to any person, religious sect or section of the society, or infringe the rights of any third party including intellectual property etc. Participant shall not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, update or share any information that-

(g) By participating in the Activity, the Participant(s) irrevocably assign STAR India the right to use the information provided by them for any use that STAR India deems fit.

(h) STAR India shall not be responsible in the event the Entries are not uploaded on the social media handles, due to technical error of any nature whatsoever. Any automated confirmation does not constitute proof of actual receipt. For purposes of the Activity, “receipt” of Entries occurs only when the website server records the Activity information upon the entrant clicking “Submit/Post” button.

(i) The Participant(s) agree and confirm that STAR India shall at no time be held responsible and/or liable for any non-receipt of an Entry due to a technical error and/or defect in the functioning of the website server, and to the extent permissible in law, the Participant(s) waives his/ her right to initiate any claim, proceedings, actions, damages, suits, in relation to the same against STAR India.

(j) All decisions of STAR India /Channel shall not be subject to any appeal of any nature whatsoever, to the extent permissible under law. The submission of Entry in the Activity shall be construed that the Participant has waived his/her right to dispute any decision(s) made by STAR India/Channel, to the extent permissible under law.

(k) By participating in the Activity, it shall be construed that the Participant(s) – (a) has waived his/her right to raise any dispute with regard to the Activity and/or any decision of STAR India, in any manner whatsoever, to the extent applicable under law; (b) has read and understood these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Participant(s)’ act of participation in the Activity will be deemed acceptance to abide by the same.

(l) By participating in the Activity, it is construed that the Participant(s) has read and understood these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy including the General Rules Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy of Facebook as stated below and has agreed to abide by the same.
