National Creativity Olympiad

** We believe that the purpose of assessment is to motivate a child and not to discourage them is to identify strengths not weakness and suggest remedial action not denial.

** We believe that achievement motivation and creativity are key drivers of success and we believe that there is little correlation between the performance of a child in cogent disciplines and success in life.

Structure of Olympiad:
The Olympiad is open for students of standard 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th. For each standard there will be separate tests in which student’s creative thinking and logical reasoning abilities will be tested.

Test will be conducted in two phases:
Round 1:
Round 1 will be conducted at the school end and two top performing student of each standard from each school from round 1 will qualify for the next round of Olympiad.

Round 2:
Round 2 will be conducted in Delhi. Apart from MCQ’s there will be a subjective question on creativity and an activity to assess the achievement motivation of the child.

Examination Fee:
Students can enroll for the Olympiad by paying Rs. 200 to their respective teacher coordinators. The School is requested to retain Rs. 20 per child enrolled towards its expenses which includes bank charges, postal charges, and honorarium for the Teachers in-charge etc.

Awards:
For each standard winners will be declared and they will receive cash prize as mentioned below:
a. 1st Prize: Rs. 20,000
b. 2nd Prize: Rs. 15,000
c. 3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000
d. Next 10 Rank Holders: Rs. 1500 each

All students securing more than 75 percentile in the Round 1 test will get “Certificate of Excellence”. All others will get a “Certificate of Participation”.

How to Participate:
** Please send single consolidated Demand Draft for the exam fee of all the students appearing for NCO from your School after retaining the school share. Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of “Creative Olympiad” payable at New Delhi, and should reach us latest by 20 Sep, 2016.

** Schools are requested to encourage the students to participate more. Any school to qualify as a center for exam will require at least 100 enrollments from school across all standards.

Last Date of Registration: 15 Sep, 2016
Date of Round 1 exam (at the school*): 7 Oct, 2016
Result of Round 1 Exam: 31 Oct, 2016
Date of Round 2 exam (New Delhi) : 10 Dec, 2016
Declaration of Winners: 14 Dec, 2016

Note:
* Schools may Postpone or Prepone the date of Round 1 Exam by 3 days from the actual date.

General Guidelines:
** The medium of the objective test will be English.
** The Round 1 will be conducted during school hours between 08:50 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
** School should provide information of participants as per the student information form.
** The NCO poster is enclosed. School is requested to display the poster on the notice board.
** Each school shall be provided a unique N.C.O code after the registration. Inquiry
