YUWA:
YUWA uses girls’ team sports as a platform for social development in rural India. It is founded in 2009, YUWA is now one of the largest girls’ football programs in India, with 250 players, 150 of whom practice daily. YUWA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation and YUWA India Trust is registered under the Indian Trusts Act 1882.
Terms & Conditions:
By participating in Lenovo YUWA Pitch To Her (the “Contest”), you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions.
The Contest invites intending participants to:
** Submit a write-up about themselves; and
** Submit an idea for a project with YUWA in accordance with the ideology of YUWA.
Submitting a pitch in video format is optional.
Eligibility:
Only those people who are legal residents of India and are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who complete the form and submit it are eligible for the contest. Employees and non-employee workers of Lenovo, Lenovo Affiliates or any agencies involved in the development or execution of the Contest or production or distribution of Contest materials, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each such person are not eligible.
Winners are decided on the basis of the quality of their responses. Participants can enter contest only via web portal www.pitchtoher.com during the Contest Period (defined below). The contest winner(s) will be determined based on the creativity and appropriateness of their response and this decision will be at the sole discretion of Lenovo India.
Contest Period:
The Contest shall be open for participation starting from August 11th 2015 to midnight of August 31st 2015. Lenovo India and YUWA may, at their sole discretion extend the Contest Period beyond August 31st 2015.
Prize:
Upto 4 individual participants will win sponsored internship with YUWA, at Hutup village near Ranchi, Jharkhand. Lenovo India shall sponsor the return flights from the winner’s home city to Ranchi. YUWA shall provide the accommodation, for the duration of the internship, according to their established practice.
Announcement of Winner:
The winners of the contest would be announced on www.pitchtoher.com. Other information or documents may be requested to verify the winner’s identity and/or eligibility. The winner will have to respond to the email and provide all necessary documents and information within 48 (forty eight) hours from receipt of the email requesting such information. The winner shall provide in advance all necessary statutory forms that may be required.
In the event that a winner cannot be contacted from the details supplied or does not respond to the email for any reason whatsoever within 48 (forty eight) hours from the receipt of email requesting information, then the prize will be deemed forfeited, and Lenovo India may award the prize to the next eligible winner and/or cancel the internship, at its sole discretion. Non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions and any other requirements communicated by Lenovo to participants may result in disqualification of the participant.
General Terms & Conditions:
Any persons found cheating, as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Lenovo, will immediately be disqualified from the Contest. Cheating includes using multiple identification numbers, tampering with, hacking of the Contest site, participating in the Contest without meeting the eligibility requirements, using any automated software or device to gain an advantage during the Contest, use of the Contest beyond the defined rules of the Contest, attempting to disable or overwhelm any of the Lenovo Group’s websites or the Contest site, attempting to disrupt any portion of the Contest, including but not limited to, allowing somebody else to use your personal information, or tampering with entry process.
Lenovo reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who breaches these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the underlying system or the operation of the Contest.
Lenovo reserves the right to initiate appropriate legal action including seeking damages from any such person who attempts to deliberately damage Lenovo websites or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest.
Lenovo reserves the right to cancel, change, modify or withdraw this Contest and the term & conditions without assigning any reason or without giving any prior notice.
Lenovo is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer software and/or equipment, failure of any e-mail account or any combination thereof.
By participating in the Contest, participant attest that their entries (and all elements depicted therein) are original and have not been previously published or submitted as entries in any other competition, are created solely by the participant, and that use of the entry (and all elements depicted therein) shall not violate the right of any third party and are fully in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The participant further confirms that the entries do not contain material that is unlawful, inappropriate, indecent, obscene, pornographic, hateful, inaccurate, defamatory, slanderous or libelous.
All Contest entries and all copyright and other rights in such entries and/or other materials becomes the property of Lenovo India and shall not be returned. The participant agrees to provide a written assignment of all rights to Lenovo India (if requested).
Prizes awarded in this Contest may not be exchanged for cash. Prizes are non-transferable. Substitution of prizes by the winners is prohibited. Where required by Lenovo India, winners shall be required to complete official release forms prior to the receipt of the relevant prize(s), failing which, Lenovo India reserves the right to forfeit the prize and dispose of the same as it deems fit.
The decision of Lenovo India, on any matters in relation to or arising from the Contest shall be final and binding.
No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this Contest or these Terms and Conditions.
You shall comply with: (a) all applicable laws and regulations; and (b) Terms of Use of www.pitchtoher.com website.
You shall be solely responsible for any non compliance or breach of terms.
