The Organiser – ASK India Society :
The ASK India Society is a non-profit organisation established for the purpose of providing a value added student education apart from their regular academic studies. The participation fees you pay for this competition is a direct contribution towards the below mentioned activity.

Education to Deprived Children :
India is a country of contrasts! The country has as many as 53 billionaires; the fourth highest in the world.

But the same country has over 3 million children living on the streets. Among the world’s 10 richest people, four are Indians. On the other side, 17 million Indian children work as labourers. India’s economy is galloping around 7% GDP growth.

But also, 2 million children die before their first birthday due to lack of immunization and medical facilities! The statement “Children are the future of the nation” stops making sense, then! In fact, it sounds like an ominous prophecy.

ASK India Society believes that the desired changes in the lives of such children will come only when more and more privileged people start participating proactively in finding a solution.

The Organisation also believes that the only way to ensure a better future for these children is by educating them. That is because education is both the means as well as the end; it empowers these children and evolves them as better citizens.

Competition Pattern :
Eligibility :
Category A – Students of standard: I, II, III and IV.
Category B – Students of standard: V, VI, VII and VIII.
Category C – Students of standard: IX, X, XI and XII.

Examination Pattern :
** The medium of examination will be English.
** The question paper for Category B and C will be the same. Category A has to write in a four-ruled paper.
** The duration of the exam is for 20 minutes.
** There will be only one written exam and the same answer sheet will be evaluated for further rounds/levels (if shortlisted in a particular round/level).

Evaluation Criteria :
The following points are considered while evaluating the answer papers:
a) Legibility and neatness.
b) Font formation and uniformity in fonts.
c) Joining or connectivity between letters(in cursive handwriting) and Spacing between letters(in print handwriting)
d) Pen strokes and their angle.
e) Legibility in the formation of numbers.
f) Presentability of your script by underlining with colour pens.
g) There will be negative marking for pressure applied on paper.

The minimum number of participants in any given category should be fifteen.
