Nationwide Quest To Select AK-EDUSAT TEAM :

“Space Tech India – Knowledge Connect” – National Contest to design and develop “AK-EDU-SAT-001” (Abdul Kalam Education Satellite) to promote Education.

Student Teams:
** Each participating Team shall have five students and one Advisor (Teacher / Faculty) from the same accredited educational institution (school / college). One team per school or college and if a University has several colleges, each college is eligible to enter its own team.

** The qualifications for participation are listed in the Application Form. Details of each team member and the Advisor must be provided in the Application Form as indicated, along with the acceptance by the Advisor to act in that capacity.

Eligibility:
Students:
** Students studying in Engineering or Science
** Students studying high school (9th to 12th Grade)
** Having interest to learn and innovate
** Hardworking and enthusiastic

Mentor:
** Teaching Staff with strong leadership qualities
** Ability to learn quick and execute

How to sign up for the competition?:
** Create a team of 5 Students and 1 Mentor / Teacher. Name your team
** Prepare your best conceptual Essay (digital format) on: Space Application, Systems design and technologies for the betterment of Society on various topics as given below:
** Systems and Sub Systems Design for AK-EDUSAT.
** Data Communication, video compression algorithms and technologies and high efficiency video coding
** Mobile Digital Video Broadcasting (M-DVB) systems for enabling Mobile phones with antenna chip design,
** System on a Chip (SoC) chip Design for aggregating various subsystems for enabling mobile digital video and data communication and IP TV
** Or any other technologies, systems based on the proposed creative concept
** The Online Essay should clearly explain the concept to improve the society using space technology, with examples and reference to related literature. The idea should be unique and new. The Online Essay should not exceed 6 pages. Font 12, Times New Roman, Line Spacing 1.5
** Submit the Online Application and the Essay before 11.59 PM on Sep. 15, 2016
