DesignStory Competition :

ARCH Academy of Design announces DesignStory – An Online Photo-Video Competition for the Best Observations & Commentaries on Design. The Competition will be held on the Arch’s website www.archedu.org . This year the thematic intent of the competition is to share a story which has “TOUCHED, MOVED & INSPIRED” you in terms of Design.

Prizes:
The winning entries will be published in a leading Magazine and Backstitch- Arch’s Monthly Design Magazine.
** The Top 25 will be exhibited on the Design Communication UK India Portal (www.designcommunication.org).
** The Top 50 entries will be exhibited at the ARCH Campus.
** The Top 100 entries will be awarded Participation Certificates.

In addition to the above, the Top three winners will be reimbursed with the AC 3 tier travel fare to Jaipur for the Award Ceremony on 8th November, 2016.

Who can Participate & How?:
** The competition is open for all young citizens between the age group of 16-25 years who can find an interesting story related to or depicting aspects of Design and share with the world.
** Entrants are invited to visually capture a story which can “TOUCH, MOVE & INSPIRE” audiences in terms of Design through 1-3 pictures (minimum 1, maximum 3) and/or a small video of maximum 45 seconds duration.
** Inspiration might be from your environment or with your own visualizations from your past or present. It can be clicked/recorded by a Camera or a Mobile Phone OR can be created.
** It has to be of high quality. Also accompany your submitted entry with your story/ commentary, in not more than 100 words.

Judgment Criteria & Jury:
** The aim of the competition is to develop sensitivity and observation skills in youth towards their surroundings and the Design that supports every aspect of life in visible & invisible ways.
** The judging will be based on the Creators point of view, originality, or interesting fresh re-looks put forward as communication in the recorded Images/Video and also on the aesthetics of the presentation. Our Jury consists of eminent people from Photography, Design, Culture and Aesthetics.

Schedule of Events:
** Start of the Competition Wednesday, 7th September 2016
** Last Date for Submission of entries Wednesday, 12th October 2016
** Notice of selection Monday, 24th October 2016
** Award Ceremony Tuesday, 8th November 2016

Guidelines for Entry:
** One person can upload only ONE ENTRY i.e. 1-3 photos (minimum 1, maximum 3) and/or 1 Video of 45 seconds maximum.
** Photo/ visual must be YOURS. You should have the original file with you failing which your submission may be disqualified.
** Add Title so that we can identify your photo/video if you win.
** You must also submit the Story depicted through the photos/ video in not more than 100 words.

Also add the following:
** Segment (Photo/Video)
** Location- Place where it was clicked/shot/ filmed
** Date- when picture was taken /when video was recorded
** Equipment used
** Full Name , Email Id, Contact Number

How to Upload
Video Guidelines:
** Upload the video on Youtube/ Google Drive depicting a Design related Story (maximum 45 seconds), Min 720×1080 pixels
