Rules and Regulations for the Interschool Multimedia Contest 2015
Topic: “Treat the Mind like the Body”
The focus of the topic revolves around the infamy attached to mental illness. There is a lot of awareness about ailments like Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiac problems etc. However, those suffering from mental illness have been stigmatized for ages due to lack of awareness, fear and misunderstanding. People with mental disorders are isolated and face exclusion both from their family and society. The concern is that the World Health Organisation has said this could be one of the most widespread illnesses in the next few years.
Through this contest we wish to sensitize students to understand the real facts about mental disorders. They will then be in a position to spread this knowledge and thus help people with these disorders to live a life of dignity and respect.
