Unlock your Koffee Mug Contest :

The following are the terms and conditions governing the “Unlock your Koffee Mug” contest (“Contest”) hosted by Star India Private Limited (“Star India”) for the promotion of the television show “Koffee with Karan (Season 5)” (“Program”) on Star World SD and HD (“Channel”) from 6th November, Sundays 9pm.

The contest shall be held in the cities of New Delhi and Mumbai and on Star World India Twitter profile at the URL twitter.com/StarWorldIndia (“Twitter Page”) with the @StarWorldIndia handle (“Twitter Handle”).

The contest invites interested persons (“Participant(s))” to participate in the Contest by tweeting using the hashtag “#UnlockMyKoffeeMug” (“Hashtag”) and following all required mandates herein below

The Contest shall commence on 5th November at 10am Indian Standard Time (“IST”) and will end on 5th November at 11:59pm IST (“Contest Period/Period”).

Any information gathered through this Terms and Conditions including the Entry shall be subject to Star India’s Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) which is available at startv.com/in and incorporated herein by reference.

By participating it is deemed that the Participant(s) have read, understood, accepted and agree to unconditionally abide with all the Terms and Conditions of the Contest. If you do not agree to be bound or cannot comply with any of the Terms and Conditions, please do not continue.

Your act of participating in the Contest shall be deemed to be your absolute agreement to the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference) of STAR India as prescribed from time to time.

The Contest shall be governed by the Principal Rules and General Rules stated herein below and all the Participants in the Contest shall unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by the same.

Principle Rules :
To participate in the Contest the Participant(s) shall follow the procedure as detailed below:
a) Participant(s) must be citizens of India and of 18 (eighteen) years of age or above at the start date of the Contest Period. The Participant(s) should not have criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Participant(s) from participating in the Contest.

b) Employees of and/or consultants of and/or persons hired on contract by Star India and the members of their immediate family are ineligible from participating in the Contest.

c) All Participant(s) must have a valid Twitter account to be eligible to participate in the Contest. For the sake of clarity, it is hereby agreed to and confirmed by the Participant(s) that the same does not include a Twitter account opened and operated by a family member and/or friend of the Participant(s).

d) The Process of the Contest
i. Participant(s) are required to tweet the number on the “Koffee with Karan Mug” (“Prize”) kept in strategic locations in New Delhi and Mumbai (“Locations”) using the Hashtag #UnlockMyKoffeeMug and tagging the Twitter Handle. The number/numbers and anything submitted along with it shall be referred to as “Entry/Entries”.

ii. On receipt of the Entry, Star India will reply with a numeric code (“Code”) which will enable the Participant(s) to unlock the Prize. The Participant(s) will be then free to take the Prize and will be referred to as “Winner/Winner(s)

iii. Entries submitted without the Hashtag and tagging the Twitter Handle shall be considered null and void.

e) For the avoidance of doubt, for the purpose of calculation of the time period taken by the Participant(s) to publish an Entry, Star India shall rely on the time stamp of such Entry. Star India’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding.

It is the sole responsibility of the Participant(s) to ensure that the Entry submitted does not infringe the rights of any third party including rights in any intellectual property and shall be original in form. Duplicate Entries and/or two or more identical Entries shall be disqualified from the Contest.

f) Each Participant shall follow the Twitter Handle. Failure to comply with the same shall render the Participant(s) Entry invalid.

g) Each Entry shall be judged inter alia, on the basis of its correctness of the number on the Prize. The decision of Star India is final and binding in this regard.

In case any loss/damage etc. is caused / incurred to or due to the Prize during transit or during the Contest, Star India will not be liable for any such loss/damage etc.

Further, Star India shall not be responsible or liable for any technical disruption and/or failure and/ or any other difficulties of such nature, due to which the Participant(s) is un-reachable or any technical disruption and/or failure/ and/ or any other difficulties of such nature, due to which Star India is unable to communicate the Code to the Participant(s) or due to which the Participant(s) is unable to unlock the Prize.

Non-conformance by the Participant(s) to any and all the Terms and Conditions herein or as set by Star India from time to time will make such Participant’s Entry(ies) null and void.
