Suggest Name/Slogans & Logo Contest :
Central TB Division of Directorate General of Health services under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of Government of India is responsible for Tuberculosis Control in India. Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) is a centrally funded programme implemented by States / UTs through general health system.

Why a new Name, slogans and Logo for RNTCP? :
** TB control programme is functional in India since 1962. Globally recommended DOTS strategy was adopted under RNTCP and complete coverage was achieved by year 2006.
** Though Government of India has achieved Millennium Development Goals for TB control with reduction in incidence rate and 50% decline in prevalence and mortality rate due to TB since 1990, India bears the highest burden of TB in the world.
** TB continues to be major public health problem in the country.
** Recently, the programme has revised its technical and operational guidelines and introduced many newer strategies and intensified efforts for TB control in the country.
** The RNTCP is preparing a National Strategic Plan for TB control in the country. Branding of the programme will give thumping emphasis to the intensified efforts of the Government for TB control.
** It would be appropriate to change the name, slogans and logo for RNTCP now.
** A name, slogans and logo can be thought of as a visual shortcut that communicates what the brand stands for.
** Central TB Division invites proposals from the public to create a brand of ‘Revised National TB Control Programme’ (Name and Logo)
** The entry selected would carry a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 to the winner. Consolation prizes of Rs. 5,000 would be provided to three participants.
Technical Parameters:
** The participant should upload the logo, Name & Slogan as a file in JPG or PNG format.
** The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the design in an editable and open file format.
** Please do not imprint or watermark your logo design.
** Please note that the logo design must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
** Logo should preferably be designed in colour.
** Name & Slogan should be complementary and coherent with Logo
** Please bear in mind that for actual utilization of the winning logo, the size may vary from 3 cms X 3 cms to 75 X 75 cms. While designing this aspect should be kept in mind.
** Entry must be submitted to the Creative Corner Section of MyGov.nic.in
** Make sure your MyGov profile is accurate and updated as we will use the information on the profile for further communication. This includes your name, photo and phone number. Entries by those with incomplete profiles would be rejected.
Evaluation Criteria:
** The Competition is open to all Indian Citizens residing within and outside India.
** Evaluation would be done on the basis of popularity and factors outlined in para 3 below by a selection committee.
** Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit and visual impact and how well they communicate the plan of Intensified TB control campaign for all Indian citizens and institutions.
** The logo, Name & Slogan designed by the winner will be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the designer cannot exercise any right over it.
** The participant must be the same person who has designed the logo and plagiarism would not be allowed.
