How Abacus is, till posterity, the tool for mankind!

You innovate, Ideate, Implement an equally beneficial app!

Scope & Rules:
1. The contest is open to all college students.
2. A team may consist of a maximum of three contestants.
3. A contestant may not be part of more than one team.
4. Any mobile technology (Android, iOS, Windows) may be your forte.
5. The judgment criteria will be based on creativity, originality of the idea, practicability of the concept, its potential use, portability, compatibility with lower versions, user experience, performance & the implementation style Jointly organised with Anna University
6. Student participants may not compete on more than one (1) team.
7. Students who have completed their courses and awaiting their degrees are not eligible to participate.
8. Only new, unique apps that have not already been uploaded online will be considered for the competition.
9. Plagiarism in any form will disqualify your participation, while use of open source libraries are allowed with appropriate references and acknowledgements.

10. Submit your code and executable files to admin@ewit.co.in on or before 10th September, 2015, giving the following details:
** Target audience of your app
** The problem for which your app is providing the solution
** Functionalities of the app
** A presentation file comprising of various activities of the app with screenshots

11. eWIT reserves the right to disqualify or otherwise modify the ranking of a team’s performance if they feel it is in the best interest of the competition.

12. eWIT reserves the right to change and/or otherwise alter these rules at any time and for any reason.

Poster Competition:
Digital India is the name of the game. Indian government has allocated a huge budget for Digital India. No doubt our cities will become smarter, citizens IT savvy and we will move towards a connected society. The dream of the present Indian Government is also the dream of many of us. All of us dream of a better, transparent, hassle free living. Put on your thinking hat and come up with the digital India you envision. It could be either the entire country at large or could address specific topic related to this theme.

Topic for poster is: “ Digital India”.

Posters will have to be displayed at the convention venue on the day of the convention.

Scope and Rules:
** Students entering the eWIT Academic Excellence Poster Competition will exhibit their posters during the Student Convention and judges appointed by eWIT will judge the posters at that time.
** Awards for student posters will be announced and presented at the Student Convention.
** Each poster is judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme.
** There is no entry fee
** Posters will be made on regular white chart paper (no smaller or larger)
** You can use any medium – oil paint, crayons, etc. – to make posters
** Please bring the completed poster with you to the event
** Please mention the topic given by eWIT of the poster on top
** Please mention your name, college, contact details at the bottom of the poster
** Volunteers from eWIT will guide you with the display details.
** Posters must be the original design and creation of the entrant(s).
** In submitting a poster, students agree that the poster may be displayed at the eWIT’s Annual
** Academic Event, other eWIT events/ meetings, featured in any of its publications, and included on its website. All entries become the property of eWIT and cannot be returned.
** The results will be announced at the venue
** Students may work individually or in teams. The maximum number of students per team is two. If the poster is a joint contribution, only the first or primary author has to present the poster. In case, the poster qualifies for a prize, the prize will be awarded only to the first author. The co-authors will not be considered for any of the prizes.
** Write your name, Institution name, Department & year of Study on the bottom right hand corner of your poster.
