Design a Logo/ Name & Tagline for Tribal Carnival Contest 2015:
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India shall be organizing a “Tribal Carnival” from 12th to 17th February, 2016 in New Delhi. This is an event to depict traditional facets of tribal art/culture. The events proposes to be a mix of live musical and dance performances, exhibitions, displays of crafts etc., fashion show, film shows, panel discussions etc. A pride parade by tribal troupes in traditional attire shall be spectacular to watch. A gala event spread over five days with cultural evenings each day. The Carnival promises to be a treat for lovers of art, music, traditional food and one of its kind of non-stop venue for lively entertainment of India’s traditional tribal way of life full of experience and knowledge. A must watch event. The participation is from tribals population throughout the length and bread of the country.
In order to give the pride of place to the event, priority of the same from Government perspective and its advocacy amongst the prospective visitors to the Carnival, it is proposed to provide a name, a logo with related tag line for the Carnival. Entries are invited accordingly and hence this invitation for suggestions on name designing tag line of the Carnival.
This task seeks inputs to suggest a name, design a Logo and a tagline for the Tribal Carnival.
The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.30, 000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Only).
In case of multiple winners, the distribution of prized would be as under:-
1. Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for logo only
2. Rs. 7,500/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Five Hundred only) for name only
3. Rs. 7,500/-(Rupees Seven Thousand Five Hundred only) for tagline only.
Technical Parameters:
** The participant should upload the logo as a file in JPG or PNG format and name/tagline in normal MS word format.
** The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the design in as editable and open file format and on a digital for logo as well name/ tagline.
** The name and the tagline shall be suggested either in Hindi, English or both and the Ministry reserve to select any of the option.
** Please do not imprint or watermark your logo design.
** Please note that the logo design/tagline/name must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
** Logo should be designed in colour.
** Please bear in mind that for actual utilization of the winning logo, the size may vary from 3 cms x 3 cms to 75 x 75 cms. While designing this aspect should be kept in mind.
** Entry must be submitted to the Creative Corner Section of mygov.in
** Make sure your MyGov profile is accurate and updated as the Ministry of Tribal Affairs will use the information on the profile for further communication. This includes your name, photo, contact number. Entries by those with incomplete profiles would be rejected.
** A participant can submit any no. of entries.
** The name should be less than or equal to 2 words whereas the tagline should be less than or equal to 6 words.
** Please keep in mind to use simple language universally understood by citizens of India.
** The suggestive name tagline should not have any religious connotation.
** The competition entries must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
** Ministry reserves the right to make any alteration to the accepted design submitted by the participant.
Evaluation Criteria:
** The Competition is open to all Indian Citizen residing within and outside India.
** Evaluation would be done on the basis of popularity and factors outlined in bullet-point below by a selection committee. Once the entry is submitted on MyGov, other MyGov users can ‘like’ the entries. Once an entry is submitted, the person who submitted the entry can share an auto generated Tweet/Post stating that he or she has shared an entry on MyGov. Similarly, those who ‘like’ every entry can share an auto-generated Tweet/Post stating they have liked a particular entry.
** Entry will be judged on creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit and visual impact and how well they communicate the mandate of MoTA.
** The logo/name/tagline designed by the winner will be the intellectual property of the MoTA and the designer cannot exercise any right over it. The prize winning logo is meant to be used by the MoTA for promotional and display purposes, IEC material also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate.
** The participant must be the same person who has designed the logo/name/tag line and plagiarism would not be allowed.
** All the entries received by the Ministry will be placed before a Selection Committee for final selection. The scrutiny of accepted entries will be done through a transparent process involving participants also.
** The decision of the Selection Committee/ competent authority will be final and binding on all the contestant.
** The disqualified entries shall not be used by the Ministry for any purpose and the Ministry.
** Selection Committee may decide to pick name from different entries and appropriately divide the prize money.
** Any legal proceedings arising out of the competition/its entries/winners shall be subject to local jurisdiction of Delhi State.
