Short Filmmakers Contest :

RFS announces this contest in memory of Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee, Padma Bhushan Dr. Daggubati Ramanaidu.

The core objective of this short film contest is to encourage budding talent and to showcase the best short films of these young creative film-makers to the film industry.

Prizes:
** Rs. 1,00,000/- for 1st Best Short Film
** Rs. 50,000/- for 2nd Best Short Film

Eligibility:
Entries are invited online from budding screenwriters, directors, cinematographers, working professionals and students of any academy.

The Workshop:
A Free Workshop will be conducted for selected participants at Ramanaidu Film School. The objective of the 6-day workshop is to give individual theoretical inputs to screenwriters, directors, and cinematographers in the morning sessions and combined film making insights couple with guest lectures & Industry Interactions in the afternoon sessions.

After the workshop, the students will form teams as screenwriter-director-cinematographer and make short films that will be sponsored by Ramanaidu Film School. In addition to the best short film and the second best short film, awards will also be given in the following categories.

** ScreenWriting – 1st prize – Rs.25,000/- 2nd prize – Rs. 15,000/-
** Direction – 1st prize – Rs.25,000/- 2nd prize – Rs. 15,000/-
** Cinematography – 1st prize – Rs.25,000/- 2nd prize – Rs. 15,000/-

Apart from the above Rs. 10,000/- will be awarded for the first submission of a short film within the Last Date and maintaining quality guidelines.The films produced during the contest can only be uploaded after a month of the completion of the contest and that too with the credits given to Ramanaidu Film School.

A contestant can only apply for one specializations out of screenwriting / direction / cinematography. The copyrights of the films, exclusively rest with Ramanaidu Film School. for the first one month.

Presentation Ceremony:
Awards will be presented on 6th June, 2017 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri. Daggubati Ramanaidu.

THE GENERAL TERMS OF PARTICIPATION :
** The entry should be submitted by the participant who may be the rights holder of the film or the person authorised to participate in the contest and accept the terms and conditions.

For the purposes of this contest and subsequent distribution of the participating film, the Participant hereby confirms that he/she has the necessary rights to submit the entry and accept the terms.

** Only one person who submits the entry will be considered as the “Participant”. All communications from our end as well as the benefits will accrue only to the Participant.

** Transfer, assignment or substitution of the prizes / benefits to a person other than the participants, will not be permitted. However, in exceptional cases the organisers reserve the right to entertain such request at their discretion.

** The participants agree that the organisers shall not be held responsible for any unauthorised use of the content by any third party and Ramanaidu Film School does not guarantee the posting of any content.

** The decision of the jury shall be final, unquestionable and binding on all participants.

To avail the prizes, the winners:
** Must possess a valid Identity Card; (Govt. recognized)o Must adhere to all the rules, regulations and terms as applicable.o Once submitted, the entries cannot be withdrawn for any reason whatsoever.

** Ramanaidu Film School may reject any film without assigning any reason whatsoever and the same cannot be challenged.o All materials, documents, etc. submitted for participation shall not be returned under any circumstances and shall become the property of Ramanaidu Film School.

** The scheduling, timetable and screening of the winners’ films shall be at the discretion of the contest organizers.o The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the contest without any intimation to the participants at any time after the launch of the contest.

** Entry and participation of films implies unconditional acceptance of these terms and regulations.
** Ramanaidu Film School decision in all matters pertaining to this contest and screening terms herein shall be final and binding in all respects.

** RIGHT TO SCREEN: The participants grants the organisers (Ramanaidu Film School and Suresh Productions) the non-exclusive rights to screen their short films on their respective websites.

** COPYRIGHT: The Film must not contain any copyrighted work(s) belonging to third parties unless (1) Participants have a license to use such works in the Film; or (2) the use participants’ Film makes of such works is a fair one under the copyright laws. Participants will retain any licenses and provide them to organisers upon request.
