Essay Writing Competition:
The Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana has envisioned to double the farmers’ income by Financial Year 2021-22. MyGov Assam invites the citizens to write an Essay on the theme “My Village, My Idea”.

The essay should be based on your vision of a model village. The winners of this contest will be awarded a certificate signed by the Chief Minister, Assam.
Terms and Conditions:
** The theme of the essay should be “My Village, My Idea”
** The essay should not exceed 1500 words
** Essays submitted should be in English, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo and Hindi Language only
** The essay should be submitted in the form of a PDF file, with size less than 10MB
** A participant can send only one entry. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all will be considered invalid.
** The entry should be original. Copied entries will not be considered under the contest.
** The participant must be the same person who has written the essay and plagiarism would not be allowed.
Last Date : Last date of submission is 10th May, 2017.

Essay Writing Competition – Van Mahotsav :
Assam Government is going to observe 68th Van Mahotsav, ‘the festival of tree’ along with the rest of the country from July 1 to July 7. The primary objective of this week-long festival is to encourage aforestation for sustainable ecological balance by sensitising masses on tree plantation and forest conservation.
During these seven days, in addition to conducting various awareness programmes, a large number of saplings of different species will be planted throughout the state. As the state has been vulnerable to floods, droughts, heat waves, cyclones, and other natural disasters it has become imperative for people from cross section of the society; private sector, public sector NGO, educational and other institutions, farmers etc. to come up and contribute their bit to save the mother earth.
To create awareness among the students of the state on this tree planting movement, the forest department of Assam is organising Essay writing competitions on the topic, “As I see a Green Assam and Pollution free Assam”.
The best entries will be awarded with some exciting prizes
