Yellow TALKS Essay Competition 2015:
The goal of Yellow Talks is to generate interest in the young talent towards the unconventional activities. We would like the students to think out of the box and come out with new ideas, creativity and innovation.

We believe that no one can craft creative ideas better than young talent of India. By participating in the essay competition, our students will be encouraged and motivated to discover new ideas and go beyond unconventional thinking.
Guidelines and Rules:
Topic:
The topic of the essay competition is “Power of Unconventional Thinking”
The road to summit must be paved differently. Come, unleash your originality and create your version of this unique skill. Bring to light the great stories which shone the brightest when people chose to think beyond all barriers. Every great feat is achieved when we dare to think beyond all conventionalities.
Structure:
The Competition is divided into two groups :
Group 1: Junior category ( students of class of 5th, 6th and 7th standard)
Group 2: Senior category ( students of class of 8th, 9th and 10th standard)
Eligibility: The contest is open for all school students irrespective of their school accreditation. The age of the participant should be 15 or below at the time of submission date.
Language: Essays are to be submitted in English.
Format/Length: Each essay is to be prepared on A4 or letter sized paper with a line spacing of 1.5, using Microsoft Word; and should not exceed 2500 words in length.
Judging Authority:
The judging authorities are the academic and the industry experts with having experience in research and technology. They are the big fan of innovation and believe in the out of the box thinking.

Judging Criteria:
Essays will be judged against the following criteria :
Content -25%
Originality of approach – 40%
Authenticity of research- 20%
Linguistic proficiency – 15%

Prizes:
The winners and runner ups will be awarded the trophy in Yellow Talks show on 10th October, 2015. Apart from this, all the 5 winners in each category would give exciting prizes worth Rs.50000.
Submission of Essay:
Entries to the Yellow Talks Essay Competition 2015 should be submitted electronically and are to be emailed to essay@yellowtalks.com.
Last date of submission:
The last day submission of the essay is 30th September, 2015. No entries will be accepted after the said date.
Result:
All the winners will be informed by 5th October 2015. Yellow Talks will send the winner list to the school to the respective winners.

Copyright in all contributions accepted will remain with the authors, and they are free to re-use their own material.

Essays incompatible with the above rules and conditions will not be considered. Participation to the competition implies acceptance of the above terms & conditions.
