Poetry Writing Contest 2015:

A. Terms and Conditions for Participation :
** The Contest is open to all.
** The poetry produced must be original as it will go through strict checking.

The last date for submitting your story is 31 Oct 2015, 11.59 pm.

** Poetry must possess the essence of Uttarakhand.
** The poetry could be related to Uttarakhand, its beauty, its culture, tradition, people, issues or anything that connects with Uttarakhand.
** The poetry should be presented in a fresh way avoiding repetitions of words and forced rhyming.
** The poetry produced can be in Hindi, English, Garhwali, Kumaoni or Jaunsari.
** Every contestant can submit maximum two poems.
** Each of the poems will be reviewed by our editors for quality and eUttaranchal reserves the right to reject any entry without providing any specific reason.
** All/selected entries will be published on our website eUttaranchal.com with a short profile of yours. We may also publish the selected entries in our upcoming Quarterly Magazine.

B. Selection Criteria and Announcement of Winners:
** The entries will primarily be judged on three grounds : the subject of the poem, language & expression and genuinity of the pretext.
** A keen interest will be paid on the poet’s attention to the sound of words.
** The language used by the poet should be precise and economical.
** The winners will be announced on 9 Nov, 2015 on our Facebook page and/or the Contest Website.

C. Prizes:
** The best poem will get a cash prize of Rs. 5015 and books related to Uttarakhand.
** 5 Consolation Prizes
