My (Uttarakhand) Story Contest:
The contestants can submit their stories related to Uttarakhand. Some of the sample topics could be:
** Any travel experience.
** A life changing experience you had while visiting Uttarakhand.
** Why Visit Uttarakhand?
** Story related to the agony of women living in hills.
** Heart wrenching stories about the people and their lifestyle in Uttarakhand.
A. Terms and Conditions for Participation:
** The story must have a connection with Uttarakhand.
** The story produced must be original and should not have been published elsewhere, offline or online.
** Every contestant can submit maximum two stories.
** Each of the stories must have at least 3 photos (min. 800px wide) . You must describe each of the photos in a sentence or two. These photos must be clicked either by you or your fellow travellers; and should not be sourced from Internet or other sources.
** Each of the story will be reviewed by our editors for quality and eUttaranchal reserves the right to reject any entry without providing any specific reason.
** All/selected entries will be published on our website eUttaranchal.com with a short profile of yours. We may also publish the selected entries in our upcoming Quarterly Magazine.
** The word limit for the story writing competition will be between 300-700 words.
** The story narrated must be in either Hindi or English.
** Anybody can participate in the competition irrespective of age and location.
** The contest is NOT just for the travellers but also for the people who live there!
** The last date for submitting your story is 31 Oct 2015, 11.59 pm.
B. Selection Criteria and Announcement of Winners:
The entries will primarily be judged on three grounds : the subject of the story, language & narration and genuinity of the pretext.
** The story having a perfect background, title, theme and narrative style will be selected.
** The winners will be selected by a panel of content writers and travel freaks at eUttaranchal or any other judges as appointed by eUttaranchal. The votes/likes from general visitors may also be taken into account.
** The winners will be announced on 9 Nov, 2015 on our Facebook page and/or the Contest Website.
C. Prizes:
** The best story will get a cash prize of Rs. 5015 and books related to Uttarakhand.
** 5 Consolation Prizes.
