The Fondation Alliance Française, a state-approved, educational foundation, and head offices at 101, Boulevard Raspail, 76006 Paris, will hold an international photography contest from February 27th 2017 to July 3rd 2017

Free, with no purchase required, entitled “La Mode et les Codes Vestimentaires”. The present document defines the terms and conditions of this contest.
Eligibility:
** Participation in the contest is free and with no purchase required.
** For the 7th edition of the international photo contest of the Alliance Française, The Fondation Alliance Française suggests the topic “La Mode et les Codes Vestimentaires”.
** The purpose of this contest is to show the extent and the wealth of the heritage, as weel as the contemporary creativity, and of the innovations all over the world.
** Like the last six editions, it shows the diversity of the world.
** The artistic quality as well as the original ideas will be appreciated by the Paris based jury.
** This contest is open to anyone who is legally a major in their country of origin.
** By entering the contest, each participant will be bound by these present rules.
** Any failure to obey the rules will result in a candidate’s participation being cancelled.
Enrolment & How The Contest Works:
Any Alliance Française wishing to participate in this contest must return the completed registration form to the Fondation Alliance Française at the following address: concoursphoto@fondation-alliancefr.org.
The contest will take place in 3 phases:
Locally:
** The first phase of the contest will be the responsibility of each Alliance Française.
** It will be held between February 27th 2017 and July 3rd 2017.
** Every participating Alliance Française is supposed to set up its own jury and make a preliminary selection of photographs.
** Each Alliance Française will then send the name and the 2 selected photos to The Fondation Alliance Française.
** These 2 photos will be studied by a jury in Paris.
** The winners will win a one-week trip in Paris.
** The 2 winning photos should be sent by the Alliances Françaises (not by the photographers) not later than July 3rd 2017 at midnight, Paris time, to the following address: concoursphoto@fondation-alliancefr.org and on the website www.wetransfer.com (“We transfer” is a free service for safety sending large files).
** In this sending, The Alliance Française must mention its name, the name of the photographer and the titles of both photos.
** Any incomplete or inaccurate entry shall be rejected and the Fondation shall not be responsible for any claims related thereto.
Worldwide:
The Fondation Alliance Française will be in charge of this phase. During this period, the jury will select 40 photographs for a group exhibition that Alliances Françaises abroad may schedule for free.
Final selection:
Choosing of the “Grand Prize Winner” by the jury of the Fondation Alliance Française.
1/ Submission of photo entries:
** Only the photos sent to the Fondation Alliance Française at the e-mail concoursphoto@fondation-alliancefr.org before the July 3rd 2017 at midnight, Paris time (with mail date serving as proof) will be considered for participation in the contest.
** Any entry made after that date will not be taken into consideration by the jury.
2/ Date of publication of the jury’s decision:
Except in a case of force majeure, the jury’s decision will be sent to the participating Alliances Françaises by e-mail, as well as published on the website www.fondation-alliancefr.org after the confirmation of the jury in autumn 2017.
Participants :
** This contest is open to any physical person (hereinafter referred to as: the “participant”).
** The contest is not open to professional photographers who are recognized for their artistic work and making exclusively their living from it.
** Any minor participant will not be allowed participate of the contest.
** The “participant” will need to register through one of the Alliances Françaises in the world.
** Only one entry of 2 photos per participant will be accepted.
