Dr. A. R. Kulkarni Essay Competition For Teachers 2015:
Dr. A. R. Kulkarni was a well known personality all over India in the subject History. He was the founder Head of History Department of University of Pune. He was the President of the Indian History Congress (1992) and the Chairman of the Indian Council of Historical Research ICHR (1978-81). He was also the Vice-Chancellor of the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.
He was guide and backbone of Itihas Shikshak Mahamandal Maharashtra.
To honour him every year ‘Itihas Shikshak Mahamandal, Maharashtra’ conducts ‘Dr. A. R. Kulkarni Essay Competition’ for the teachers. The award is of 1000/- in cash and the memento alongwith a Special Certificate of Merit will be awarded to 1st rank essay. The same essay will be published in ‘Itihas Shikshak Traimasik’.
Teachers are requested to participate for their future prospects in the teaching career.
Themes of essay (word limit is 1500 words):
a) Achivements of Saint Namdeo outside Maharashtra
b) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Social Reforms
c) Vinoba Bhave and Bhudan Movement
It is mandatory that the essay on one of the above-mentioned themes should be recommended and attested by the Headmaster / Principal and entry fee Rs. 50/- should be paid alongwith the essay.
The essay can be written in English or in Marathi. There is a separate award for essay written in Marathi and essay written in English.
Note :
** The essay should be written on foolscape paper on one side only.
** Essays should reach on or before 21st November, 2015 to the Kolhapur divisional office.
** The essays will not be accepted after 22nd November, 2015.
** Dr. Arvind Deshpande was a versatile scholar of History. He was the Head of History Department of University of Pune. He was the chairman of the Board of Studies of the subject History at Balbharti as well as the S.S.C. Board. He participated in numerous national and international history conferences.
** He was friend, philospher and guide of Itihas Shikshak Mahamandal Maharashtra.
** To honour him Mahamandal conducts State level competition of Projects or Research Work in teaching of History. For the best Project or Research Work ‘Dr. Arvind Deshpande Award’ will be given. The award is of Rs. 1000/- in cash and the memento alongwith a Special Certificate of Merit.
** The Project or Research Work can be in Marathi or in English.
** The teachers of the school or Junior college from Maharashtra State can participate. It is mandatory that the Project or Research Work should be recommended and attested by the Headmaster or Principal and entry fee Rs. 50/- should be paid along with the project

The Project or Research Work will not be accepted after 22nd November, 2015.
