Combating Corruption, Battling Black Money Competition :
8th November, 2016, will go down in history as a golden lettered day for India. On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation, a revolutionary step in fighting the menace of black money and corruption.

In an unprecedented display of Jan Bhagidari, 125 crore Indians stood shoulder to shoulder with the Prime Minister in this fight for India’s bright future.
As we approach a year of this landmark day, let us come together again and highlight the fight against corruption and black money in creative ways. This will help create awareness and also motivate further action in this fight for the nation’s future.
On these themes, you can express your ideas in various ways:
1. Essay: You can write an evocative essay. The essay can include the highlights and achievements so far in the fight against corruption and black money and some ideas to further strengthen the participative nature of the battle. (Max length: 1200 words. Submit only in PDF format)
2. Artwork: You can prepare creative artworks / caricatures / cartoons / posters that capture the spirit of collective of the people to end the menace of corruption and black money. (Max file size: 4 MB. Submit only in PDF/PNG/JPEG formats)
3. Video: You can prepare a video that can reach the mass population of India and highlight to them both achievements as well as the collective nature of the fight and motivate them further to continue to be part of the vigil. (Max duration: 4 minutes. Submit only YouTube links)
4. Poem: You can pen down a poem that can be composed into an anthem. (Submit only in PDF format)
For each of the above categories, there are separate prizes and they are as below:
** 1st prize – Rs. 2 lakhs
** 2nd prize – Rs. 1 lakhs
** 3rd prize – Rs. 50,000
** 5 consolation prizes of Rs. 25,000 each

Essay Writing Competition :
Terms and Conditions :
1. The competition is open to all Indian citizens.
2. The theme of the essay is “Combating Corruption, Battling Black Money”
3. All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of mygov.in. Make sure your MyGov profile is accurate and updated as we will use the information on the profile for further communication. This includes your name and phone number. Entries of participants who fail to furnish complete profile will be rejected.
4. Participants must submit their essays in either English or Hindi language only.
5. A participant can send only one entry. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all will be considered invalid.
6. The last date for submission of entries is 30th November, 2017 at midnight (IST).
7. The prizes are:
1. 1st prize – Rs. 2 lakhs
2. 2nd prize – Rs. 1 lakhs
3. 3rd prize – Rs. 50,000
4. 5 consolation prizes of Rs. 25,000 each
8. The essay should be an original piece of work. The entry must not infringe the rights of any other party. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition.
9. The essay must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, or disparaging, or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortuous, slanderous, discriminatory in any way, or one that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the Contest.
10. The essay must not contain content, material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of, or contrary to, all applicable national, state, or local, laws and regulations.
Technical Parameters :
1. The participant is expected to type/write an essay which is not more than 1200 words.
2. The participant should submit the write-up in PDF file format only.
3. Font size should be 12.
4. Line spacing should be 1.15 only.
5. Paper Margins: allow 1-inch margins on all four sides and justify text on both sides.
