Students’ Essay Competition :
Every year National Technology Day is celebrated on 11th May being commemorated to memorize the anniversary of Shakti, the nuclear test held on 11th May 1998. The day glorifies the importance of technology in prospective growth of human mankind.
Last Date of Submission : 5th March 2016
On 2012′, NIT, AP started to observe Technology Day with 1st National Students’ Essay competition. The event is now regular one. In year 2016, 5 National Students’ Essay Competition will be organized.
Category A:
[i] Title of Essay : “Your thoughts on Technical Education for Digital India.”
[ii] Language : English
[iii] Eligibility of participation : Undergraduate students (Studentship certificate from Institute Authority is essential for taking part in competition)
Category B:
[i] Title of Essay : “Your thoughts on Technical Education for Making New India.”
[ii] Language : English
[iii] Eligibility of participation : Post Graduate students & Research Scholars (Studentship certificate from Institute Authority is essential for taking part in competition)
Submission Details :
(a) Mode : Only Electronics mode of submission will be acceptable. Send Dot doc (.doc) copy in IEEE format (front : 10, two columns, length : Max 6 pages on A-4 size paper) as attachment to the Convener of National Technology Day Celebration Dr. Pinaki Chakraborty, Dean In – charge ( R & D ) : pchakraborty.ece@nitap.in
(c) Notification of Acceptance for Presentation: 11th April’2016
(d) Date of Presentation: 4th June’2016
Awards :
Best three essays in each category as to be decided by a board of Jury will be awarded certificates of merit with cash prizes of Rs. 5000/-, Rs. 3000/- and Rs. 2000/- respectively for 1st , 2nd and 3rd winners subject to presentation.
About NIT, AP :
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Arunachal Pradesh (AP) (An Institute of National Importance) was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India in 2010. It is now located at a temporary location at Yupia, Papum Pare District, Arunachal Pradesh. Currently it runs six 4-years B. Tech. programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Biotechnology.
It also runs three 2-years M. Tech programmes in Mobile Communication & Computing, Electronic Design & Manufacturing and in Appropriate Technology and Entrepreneurship Practice. It runs online MBA for Executives and Ph. D. programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Management Science. In 2015-16 one more 4-years B. Tech programme in Chemical Engineering, two 2-years M. Tech programmes in Renewable Energy and Computer Science & Engineering and two M. Sc programmes in Mathematical Physics and Mathematics & Computing will start.

How can we apply for english essay competition?
Where do we have to submit our studentship certificate?
And do we have to give presentation on it in AP?
Can anyone from Delhi participate in this competition?

Is this only eligible for AP ?
I belong to Assam. So can I participate ?
Are only NIT Students allowed to participate in this contest or students eligible from any engineering college of India?
