Student Film Competition :
** Make Cinema is an opportunity for young creative minds to narrate their stories and ideas via film.
** Encouraging young filmmakers to turn their dreams and stories into films is Make Cinema, an IKFFI special film making competition only for kids.

Students can submit films in following groups :
Categories :
** Junior (Below 12 years)
** Senior (12-16 years)
** Super Senior (16-21 years)
Film Duration :
** Minimum 2 mins
** Maximum 20 mins
Submission Guidelines for Student Film Makers :
Student Film Competition :
** Student filmmakers are encouraged to submit their work in this section.
** To be eligible for selection in this category, the filmmaker must be a student of an educational institution and must have valid identification to verify this.
** Only students under the age of 21 at the time of the completion of the film may submit.
** Only films produced after 1 January 2016 will be eligible for this category.
** The film can be made on any topic and in any genre.
** Films with a minimum duration of 2 minutes and a maximum duration of 20 minutes will be eligible for this category.
** There is no entry fee for the competition.
** All entries must be submit via YouTube. Please upload your film on YouTube and send us a private link via email to ruchi AT lxl.in and aayushi AT lxl.in. The subject line of the mail should be “IKFFI MAKE CINEMA: (name of your film)“. Please also attach a scanned copy of your student ID along with the email.
** All submissions must be made before December 31, 2017

** Best Student Film – Junior Category
** Best Student Film – Senior Category
** Best Student Film – Super Senior Category
Additional rewards :
** Mentoring by stalwarts – A chance to be mentored by the best in the film business
** Winners will receive cash prizes, certificates and trophies.
** Winners from India will also stand a chance to assist on the production of a School Cinema film
Terms and Conditions :
** We thank you for your interest in participating in the International Kids Film Festival of India’s Student Filmmaking Competition – Make Cinema organised by LXL Ideas. We request you to read these Terms and Conditions carefully before clicking on the “I Accept” checkbox.
** If you are below the age of 18 years, the consent of your legal guardian (father/mother/guardian) is required for these Terms and Conditions.
** Please note that in case of breach of any of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws, the organiser, LXL Ideas Private Limited (“LXL”) may, at its discretion, disqualify your entry.
Entry Qualifications :
** The Competition is open to students who are below 21 (twenty-one) years of age. To establish that you fulfil this qualification, you are required to produce
(i) your student ID card with photograph; or
(ii) a certificate issued by your educational institution, certifying that you are a student thereof and that you are below 21 (twenty-one) years of age as per its records; or
(iii) such other records or proof as LXL may require or permit.
The film being submitted by the student should fulfil the following criteria :
** The film should be fully original, without any portion of it, visual or audio, being copied from existing works or plagiarized. If any portion of the film is found to be a work of plagiarism, the film will be disqualified
** The film should be of a minimum duration of 2 minutes and a maximum duration of 20 minutes
** Only films produced after 1 January 2016 will be eligible for this category.
** Films submitted may be live action, animation or documentary films and may originate from any part of the world
** All films that have dialogues that are not English must have inlaid English subtitles
** Except as listed above, there are no specific criteria that a film needs to fulfil.
** There is no limit to the number of entries one can submit.
Manner Of Submitting Entry :
** You can submit your entry by uploading your film at ikffi.lx.in (Student Filmmaking Competition) or at YouTube and sharing the link with us on or before December 31, 2017. Late submissions will not be considered for the Competition.
** LXL Ideas is not responsible for any lost or incorrectly uploaded submissions.
** Once uploaded, you will not have access to the film. Once submitted, you cannot withdraw, modify or re-submit the film.
** Upon uploading, you will receive a confirmation from LXL Ideas that your film has been received as an entry in the Competition.
** There is no entry fee for the Competition.
Judging And Prizes :
** Entries in the Competition will be classified into live action, documentary and animation categories.
** Entries will be judged by a panel of judges, constituted at LXL Ideas’ sole discretion. LXL is not required to reveal the identity of the judges.
** LXL Ideas will announce the decision of the judges on or before January 26, 2018. LXL Ideas is not required to provide any justification or rationale to explain the decision of the judges.
** The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all parties; and will not subject to any change or modification.
** You undertake to accept the results of the Competition as final and binding; you will not challenge the same or disparage either LXL or its panel of judges.
