CEO Manipur National Voters’ Day Competitions
The Election Department, Manipur is organizing a State Level Painting/Essay Writing & Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Competition in connection with the celebration of the 8″ National Voters’ Day-2018.

Competitions Details
(i) Topic: Accessible Elections (for both Essay & Painting Competition)
(ii) Medium: a. English and Manipuri (for Essay). b. Wax Colour for Painting.
(iii) Words Limit: 100 (one hundred) for Essay Competition.
(iv) Category of Participants: Class-IX to XII.
(V) Form available: www.ceomanipur.nic.in
(vi) Last date for form submission: 5th January 2018 (Friday) upto 1600 hrs.
(vii) Date of the Competition: 7th January 2018 (Sunday).
a. 10.00 Am to 11.00 Am – Essay Writing Competition.
b. 11.30 Am to 12.30 Pm – Painting Competition.
c. 1 Pm to 2 Pm – MCQs Competition. (50 Questions Election Related only).
(viii) Place of submission of Forms: Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur at Lamphelpat.
(ix) Venue for the Competitions: State Academy of Training,Takyelpat, Lamphel.
(X) Prizes: The best 3(three) winners in each category will be awarded with a certificate, a diary, a calendar along with 1 (one) -T shirt & a Cap with NVD Logo.
(xi) Names of the winners, venue, date and time for prize distribution function will be announced separately.

About CEO Manipur :
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur functions under the Supervision, directions and control of Election Commission of India. Its major tasks are to conduct of Elections to the Legislative Assembly, Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha, President and Vice President of India, Preparation and updation of Electoral Rolls, Issue of Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) to voters, Rationalization of polling stations from time to time.
Manipur became a Union Territory in 1956 and later, in 1972, a full-fledged State. It has 60(sixty) Legislative Assembly Constituencies, 2(two) House of People (Lok Sabha) Constituencies and 1(one) Council of States (Rajya Sabha) Constituency. It has 2(two) Divisions and 9(nine) Districts. The Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency consists of 32(thirty two) Legislative Assembly Constituencies and 1(one) Parliamentary (Lok Sabha) Constituency.
The Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency has 28(twenty eight) Legislative Assembly Constituencies and 1(one) Parliamentary (Lok Sabha) Constituency. The total population of the state is 27,21,756 lakhs as per 2011 census. The total number of voters at the beginning of 2012 is 17,41,581 and it has 97.03% coverage of Photo Electoral Rolls and EPICs.
