NBA Jam 2015:
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and SONY SIX are partnering to bring NBA Jam powered by Jabong.com back to India for the third consecutive year.
Applicable For : All Current Year College/University Students
NBA Jam powered by Jabong.com, a touring college basketball and youth festival, will travel to a record 24 cities in India, up from 16 last year. The event, which takes place from Oct till Feb, will integrate within the existing college festivals and feature the largest 3-on-3 tournament ever held in India, with more than 3,500 teams participating.
The traveling interactive basketball festival is focused on growing and eliciting participation in basketball across India by combining exciting on-court competition with interactive games and contests designed to engage college youth and grow the NBA’s fan base. More than 1000 colleges across India will be engaged in order to drive awareness and generate registration for NBA Jam powered by Jabong.com. NBA talent, including a legend, dunk team and India’s ace EDM DJs, will travel to select cities to engage fans
General Terms & Condition :
** Participation in NBA Jam powered by Jabong.com (the “Tournament”) is open to all current year college/university students (i.e., students currently enrolled at a tertiary educational institution) in India who meet the Age Cut-Off requirements herein, provided that if such participant is a minor (i.e., 17 years of age and younger) the written permission of his/her parent or legal guardian shall also be required in order to participate in the Tournament.
** Employees and immediate family members of NBA India Basketball Private Limited, NBA Properties, Inc., NBA Media Ventures, LLC, the National Basketball Association (the “NBA”), the NBA member teams and each of their respective affiliates (collectively, the “NBA Entities”), Multi Screen Media Private Limited (“Sony Six”) and Jade eServices Private Limited (“Jabong”) are not eligible to enter the Tournament. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary.
** A participating team shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of four (4) team members. Team members do not necessarily need to be enrolled at the same college/university. All team members will need to produce government recognized age proof (Driving License/PAN/Birth Certificate/Passport) along with college identity cards to confirm their participation in the Tournament.
** In order to be eligible to participate in the Tournament, all participants will be required to sign a release and waiver form which will be available at the registration desk on the event day. A team will be disqualified for failing to produce valid age and college identity proof.
** The Tournament is open to all colleges from across India and is not restricted to the cities where the Tournament is being conducted. Coaching is not allowed during the Tournament. Coaches or trainers are not allowed on the team bench. Also they are not allowed to coach from anywhere else on the court.
** Once a team has registered on the portal, a confirmation e-mail will be sent by the Tournament organizers to the e-mail address mentioned on the registration form within 72 hours. Participants may opt to receive recommendations, promotional offers and sales alerts at their registered email address. The organizers of the Tournament will email information at regular intervals. Hence we recommend that teams check their registered email account regularly for updates and information on the Tournament.

November 5 – BITS, Goa
November 13 – Xaviers Institute of Management, Bhuwaneshawar
November 14 – XLRI, Jamshedpur
November 20 – IIM Lucknow
Participation team number and waitlisted teams:
Each Tournament city will allow for a maximum participation of 200 teams. The teams will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once the slots have been filled, all further teams will be placed on the waitlist and duly informed of the same.
Age cut-off for participants (“Age Cut-Off”):
Boys (Age 16 – 24) – January 1, 1991 – December 31, 1999
Girls (Age 16 – 24) – January 1, 1991 – December 31, 1999
Note:
** Waitlisted teams will be given an opportunity to participate if any of the confirmed teams is disqualified or no show or withdraws from participation for any reasons.
** Waitlisted teams will need to be present at the venue at time of the announcement if they are to be allowed to compete in the Tournament.
** Waitlisted teams will be given an opportunity to compete on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Disqualification:
All the players of the team must fall within the Age Cut-Off. The entire team will be disqualified if any player is found to be of an invalid age.
Each team player needs to fill in all the required details in the registration form. Any incomplete details shall lead to disqualification of the team. Organizer’s and NBA’s decision is final and binding on all teams.
