About Event

Visitor Entry Fee: The event is FREE to enter and requires no pre-registration.
Date & Venue: 24th Feb, DLF Place, Saket, New Delhi.

Comic Con India proudly announces the launch of the country’s premier cosplay championship – Maruti Suzuki Indian Championship of Cosplay (ICC).

How It Works?

** Winners of the grand prize at the cosplay competitions hosted at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune & Hyderabad Comic Con’s enter the ICC as the finalists each year.
** The City champions then go head to head to win the Indian Championship of Cosplay.
** The Indian champion then represents the country at the Crown Championships at C2E2 in Chicago, going up against champions from USA, France, Austria, China, Singapore, Indonesia & Australia.

Fan Favourite Award

In addition to the main champion, we have instituted a “Fan Favourite” Award, decided through our online poll.

** You can cast your vote for your favorite cosplayers and increase their chances of winning the Fan Favourite Award
** The final date for voting is 21st Feb 2018.
** The winners will be announced at the event on 24th Feb
** All fake and unauthentic email ids will not be considered for voting.
** One email Id & phone number can vote for more than 1 contestant, however can only vote for 1 contestant only once.

Championship Judging & Rules

Our championship jury comprises of CCI & Reed Pop Team members. The championship jury might also have special guests. Their feedback might be restricted to a certain category or at times the entire contest. In case any special guests judges are made part of the jury, the same would be announced On-stage.

Finalists will be judged on a point scale by the jury on the following criteria:
** Craftsmanship – how the entrant made their costume, use of materials and creativity.
** Likeness/Detail – how close the contestant resembles the character they are cosplaying/detail on costume.
** Presentation – how the entrant portrays themselves as the character they are cosplaying.

About C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay:
The C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay is the largest and most prestigious cosplay competition in the world held in Chicago from 6-8th April 2018. This will be the final stop in the ReedPOP’s 2018 “Quest for the Crown” global cosplay competition circuit.

Globally the winners of each Country including the United States, Australia, China, Austria, Singapore, Indonesia, India and France battle it out for the most prestigious cosplay contest in the world winning the title of Global Champion of Cosplay.

What is Cosplay?:
Cosplay is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture and a broader use of the term “cosplay” applies to any costumed role-playing in venues apart from the stage.

Favorite sources include manga and anime, comic books and cartoons, video games, and live-action films and television series.
