‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ :
The birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is being observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ (National Unity Day) on 31st October, 2015. The occasion provides us an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.
Last Date For Submission of Details (By School ): 14th November, 2015
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, the Central Board of Secondary Education has already announced an Expression Series on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel which will be held on 31st October, 2015. The detailed circular is available at www.cbseacademic.in.
To ensure that the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ is celebrated in a befitting manner, it is requested that the schools may conduct the activities as per the following schedule:
i. 30th October, 2015:
Pledge Ceremony to be organized in school ( Pledge enclosed as Annexure 1)
ii. 31st October, 2015 :
Schools may participate enthusiastically in the ‘Run for Unity’ being organized at the state/district headquarters. Fitness and health condition of students should be kept in kind.
iii. Schools may also organize activities like poster-making, painting, elocution, quiz etc. on the themes of:
i.)Unity and Integrity
ii.) Safety and Security.
Details of any innovative activity conducted during the celebration of ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ may be submitted at cbsenud2015@gmail.com latest by 14th November, 2015.
