Essay Writing Competition For Smart City Varanasi 2015:
Varanasi Municipal Corporation requests to all the citizens, students, artist, intellectuals to participate in the Smart City Project proposal preparations through their valuable feedback, comments, suggestions etc.
In this direction it is requested to participate in the Essay Competition to provide your vision of the holy city of Varanasi. Essay is expected to have your priority area for Pan city initiatives, the problems identified by you, which should be address to the benefit of the entire city. The Essay should have the analysis of the problem, reasons ; as why the problem is priority problem. What can be the solution of the problem, what challenges you expect in mitigating the problems. Essay should have solution of the identified problem along with innovative ideas.
Essay should also cover your priority for area based development.
Marks Division will be based on :-
1. Your vision on smart city Varanasi
2. You priority problem along with reasons
3. Challenges likely to be faced in solving the problem, innovative suggestions in resolving the problem.
4. Proposal on area based development , as model area.
Prizes would be as under :-
1. First Prize : Rs 10, 000/-
2. Second Prize : Rs 6,000/-
3. Third Prize : Rs 4,000/-
Terms and Conditions
1. The last date to submit your essays is 7th November, 2015.
2. All the participants must clearly mention following details in their essay –
** Name
** Father/Mother name
** Address
** Age
** Contact number / Email ID
** School / College / Institution Name
3. Residents can submit their essay in – English or Hindi
4. Participants should submit essay in .pdf.
5. All the entries must be submitted online through https://www.mygov.in/
6. The winner will be chosen on the basis of brevity, originality of the content and ideas customized to Allahabad and implementable action points. The decision of Panel committee constituted by Allahabad Corporation on selection of winners shall be treated as final.
7. Copying from websites (plagiarism) will be discouraged and not considered for evaluation.
8. It will be assumed that whoever is participating in the essay has fully understood the general information and terms-conditions given hereby.
9. Administration reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition and/or the terms/ conditions without notice.
