HSSC World Skills Competition
World Skills International is the largest skill competition in the world, organized once every two years in one of the member countries. More than 1300 contestants below the age of 23, compete for gold, silver and bronze medals, in over 50 skills. The competition is held over a span of four days.

Healthcare Sector Skill Council is providing a unique opportunity for potential candidate to participate at World Skills Competition scheduled in August 2019 in Kazan (Russia).
For this, India Skills Competition in the domain of Health and Social Care is scheduled to be held on 15th July 2018 at India Skills Day.
Top 3 candidates from India Skills Competition would be mentored for World Skills Competition.
Selection Process
Selection Process for Team India in Health and Social Care Practitioner
The registered candidates will have to qualify State level, Regional level and IndiaSkills (National level) competition to be selected for team India.
** The State level competition to be scheduled in April 2018 & the regional level competition would be done in May 2018. Final Dates and venue details would be shared soon.
** India Skills Competition would be conducted on 15th July 2018.
** The top 3 selected candidate from India Skills competition will then undergo a sponsored training in at different healthcare settings across India for a year to compete with other countries at WorldSkills, 2019 in Kazan (Russia)
** Competitor would be assessed on healthcare skills related to Work organization and management, Communication and interpersonal skills, Problem solving, innovation, and creativity, Assessing needs and planning client care, Managing and delivering client care, Evaluating client care.
Eligibility Criteria for Participants
** Candidates born on or after 01 Jan 1997 are only eligible to attend the Competition.
** Pursuing Education in the field of Medicine, Nursing or other relevant Healthcare Domain.
** Fluency in Spoken English.
** Candidate with well-maintained hygiene and be medically fit.
Competencies required from Competitor :
** Able to offer a range of support to individual clients/Family. Manages physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being of client, family and the community
** Able to provide care through a scientific process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, delivering, and evaluating outcomes of care.
