CSO Eligibility
Level 1: The students of classes 1-10 are eligible to give the Level 1 exam.
Level 2: The Level 2 is organised for students of classes 3-10 only.
CSO Levels
CREST Science Olympiad is held in two levels
Level 1:
The respective school is the venue for students appearing through schools and for those students who are appearing as an individual, the centre will be shared with the admit card before one month of the exam.
The Level 1 exam is an objective-type test having duration of 60 minutes comprising of 60 objective-type questions for classes 1 to 4 and 75 objective-type questions for classes 5 to 10.
The exam consists of two sections:
Section-1: General Science
Section-2: Achievers Section
Other Important Info:
** There are separate question papers for each and every class.
** The medium of the exam is English.
** CBSE, ICSE/ISC and other State Board syllabus is followed for the setting of test papers.
** The exam is conducted during school hours only
Level 2:
The Level 2 is organised for students of classes 3 to 10 only.
The qualifiers to second round would include the following:
** Top 5% of candidates in a particular class that have given the Level 1 exam.
** Please note that, to calculate the top 5% students, due weightage will be given to marks scored in different sections. Also, each section is accorded with a separate weightage.
** Top 25 rank holders in a particular class and in a particular zone.
If in a particular class, if a minimum of 10 students have secured 50% qualifying marks, then the respective class topper will be eligible to give the Level 2 exam.
How To Participate?
Registration of Students through schools:
Students from classes 1-10 are eligible to give CREST Olympiad. Prospectus containing the registrations forms are sent to all schools registered with CREST.
If your school is not registered with us, then please send an email to info@crestolympiads.com and we will send you the prospectus soon. It is mandatory for schools to return the registration forms to CREST, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.
Registration for individual participants:
If your school does not conduct Olympiads, then you can register as an individual participant as well. The link for the online registration for individual participants will soon be provided online once the registrations open.
CSO Exam Fee
Exam fee for each subject is Rs. 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is $10 (US Dollars).

CSO Awards
Awards will be given to the participants performing exceptionally well in the Olympiads. To check the full list of Awards and recognitions to be given to each participant.
For students appearing for CCO, CGKO, CRO and CFO and for students of classes 1-2 appearing in CEO, CSO and CMO exams, the awards and recognition is as follows:
** Top 15% students will be awarded with a merit certificate
** Top 5% students will be awarded with a medal and a merit certificate
** Top 3 students from every school with more than 25 students appearing for an Olympiad exam will be awarded with a merit certificate
** Overall Top 10 students will be awarded with a trophy and merit certificate
** Every participant will be awarded a digital certificate
** If a student meets 2 or more criteria then he/she will qualify for a higher award
For students of classes 3-10 appearing for CEO, CSO and CMO exams, the awards and recognition is as follows:
** All students qualifying for Level 2 will be awarded with a merit certificate
** Top 5% students in Level 2 will be awarded with a medal and a merit certificate
** Overall Top 10 students will be awarded with a trophy and merit certificate
** Every participant will be awarded a digital certificate
** If a student meets 2 or more criteria then he/she will qualify for a higher award
