To hunt the best talent, we hereby initiate KALPANA, one of the most rigorous and innovative competitions where participants have to prove their mettle at every stage. The competition is open to all students and graduates in the age group 18-30. Aspiring participants can register online from 17th June- 30th June.

Note:
Teams are not permitted to change the concept or design submitted in Phase II. This will lead to disqualification and termination from the competition.

Phase I (17- 27 June 2015):
** Online registration of the teams on http://www.tatacentre.iitb.ac.in/ followed by submission of online solution to the given problem in less than 250 words and the team have to upload an image(sketch) to support the solution in less than 1MB(image reference is not mandatory).
** Each team should consist of maximum 3 individuals and minimum 2 under the age group of 18-30.
** Participants can be engineering or architecture students and designers including pass outs.
** Participants are free to choose their team partners based on their compatibility and mutual understanding which would benefit their team in all the phases of the competition.

Phase II (4- 9 July 2015):
** Selection of top 100 teams by a panel of experts.
** Each team will now select their own problem statement based on the six thematic areas of TCTD – Energy, Housing, Agriculture and Food, Water, Healthcare, Education.
** Submission of the solution based on the template displayed on the website, in a PDF file not exceeding 10 MB and 10 pages online.
** The proposed design should have the feasibility to be made into a prototype.

Phase III (22 – 29 July 2015):
** Top 10 selected teams will get assistance from the project staff of TCTD for fabricating their prototype.
** Materials for prototyping will be provided by TCTD.
** Teams will get an opportunity to explore and use the Hi-Tech FAB Lab and are required to complete their work within one week.
** Teams are required to prepare a 10 min. presentation highlighting the concept, incentives and objectives of the design. Evaluation will be done on the last day by the panel of experts at TCTD, IIT Bombay. This will be on the basis of the prototype and the presentation by the team

Accommodation:
Top 10 selected Teams will get accommodation in IIT Bombay campus by the evening of 21st July till morning 30th July. Accommodation is restricted to participants only. Food and travelling expenses will have to be borne by the participants.

How to Participate:

** Competition is open to all Indian citizens residing in the age group of 18-30.
** Participants have to register as a team comprising of 3 members or 2 members. The formation of the team being participants’ independent choice. Once the team is registered there will be no exchange of members among different teams.
** A person cannot register in two teams. This may lead to both the teams getting disqualified (applicable at any stage).
** Registration form includes details such as name of the team, Full name of the participants in the team with qualification, age, address, email id, college and university name. The name of the team will be retained throughout the competition and cannot be changed. A verification link will be sent to all the participants on their email ids. Confirmation is mandatory from all the participants.
** Each team has to register online on http://www.tatacentre.iitb.ac.in/ and has to submit the solution to the given problem up to 250 words and upload a jpeg Image (sketch) file less than 1 MB to support their solution. Three problem statement will be floated. The registered teams have to select any ONE of the given problem statements. Teams are not allowed to submit solutions to more than one problem.
** Complete schedule will be displayed on the website of TCTD. The teams will not be able to upload their solutions after the dead line.
** Top 10 selected teams will have to show their identity card (college id, pan card, license or Adhar card) which display their age at the time of final registration (Phase III) at TCTD, IIT Bombay.
