Dr. Vm Ghatge Memorial Competition For Pioneering Ideas In Aerospace 2015 :
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is a premier Aeronautical Complex in Asia with 20 Production divisions and 10 R&D Centers spread across India. HAL has been producing Aircrafts, Helicopters, Engines, Accessories and Space Structures and intensely involved in the Design & Development of Aircraft & Helicopters – both Fighter and transport, Engines, Accessories and UAVs. The year 2015 marks a very important milestone as HAL is celebrating 75 years of glorious service to the nation. To commemorate this occasion, a competition is being organized to provide a platform for young minds to bring out their pioneering ideas in the field of Aerospace.
Objective :
To create synergy between HAL & Academic Institutions to nurture talented students and researchers of science and engineering institutions to come out with their ideas in Design & Technology which could potentially be a game changer in the Aerospace Domain.
Important Dates:
** Last date for online Registration & Synopsis submission : 20th November 2015
** Last date for Final paper submission :5th December 2015
** Results Declaration :15th December 2015
Eligibility :
** “Dr. Vm Ghatge Memorial Competition For Pioneering Ideas In Aerospace” is a nationwide competition for students of all disciplines, who will be studying B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech/M.S and PhD/Scholar level qualification, on a full-time basis.
** Nationality should be Indian.
** Employees of HAL, HAL-JV Group, or their agents are not allowed to enter the Competition.
** Students currently involved in an internship, apprenticeship or summer placement with HAL/HAL-JV Group are not eligible to take part in the Competition.
Team Composition :
** Team can have maximum of 5 participants from B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech/M.S and PhD/Scholar studying full time courses in recognised institutions and should not be employed anywhere at the time of registering for participation.
** No participant can be part of more than one team.
** Participants forming a team should be from the same college.
** The Team Leader will be the single point of contact for the contest and communications sent from registered emailid shall only be considered.
Registration :
** All teams must register and upload Synopsis by 20th November 2015.
** Once a team has been registered, no modification in its composition will be allowed after the registration Last Date of 20th November 2015.
** HAL reserves the right to check the validity of the registration information submitted by students at any stage during the Competition and to ask for evidence of student status from the university cited by the student.
** HAL also reserves the right to refuse participation, or to disqualify, at any time during the Competition, students (and their teams) who have submitted incorrect or misleading information.
** Participants/teams will have no recourse against disqualification decisions.
Synopsis Rules :
** Synopsis should not exceed more than 750 words and not more than 02 pages in IEEE Format.
** Synopsis should be uploaded in pdf format(Max.Size 2MB) only by 20th November 2015.
Final Paper Submission:
** The final paper should be within 6000 words and not more than 20 pages including figures, tables etc. in IEEE paper presentation format.
** The final paper should be uploaded in pdf format(Max.Size 15MB) only by 5th December 2015.

Originality of the Idea/ Concept.
** Patentability.
** Market potential.
** Technical Content.
Prizes:
The winning nominations will be announced on 15th December 2015.
** The winning teams will be aptly awarded.
