SilverZone iiO
International Informatics Olympiad endeavours to assess the competency and proficiency of the students in the field of Computer Science, at National and International levels, every year. Its syllabus comprises of the syllabus of CBSE/ICSE and various State Boards.

Eligibility
All students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to take part in Level 1.
Students Registration
** The prospectus containing the Registration Forms of iiO are sent to all the schools registered with the SilverZone Foundation.
** The schools which are NOT registered with the Foundation may also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@silverzone.org or by calling the Foundation on 011-26166210, 11, and 12.
** The schools must return the Registration Forms, properly filled in and complete in all respects, by the due date to the Foundation.
** A student can register through his/her respective school only. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.
Note:
Principals/teachers may please note that any school can become a registered centre for the International Informatics Olympiad (iiO). No fee is required for the same. Only for feasibility reason, a minimum of 20 students need to be registered for the iiO, from the school.

The Result of the iio will be available at www.silverzone.org in the month of Feb/March 2022.
Venue :
The venue of the offline examination will be school only. For online examination it may be conducted in the computer lab or from home using PC/Laptop/Tab/Mobile with an Internet Connection and a Web-cam.
Olympiad Details
The Olympiad is organized in the respective schools of the participants during the school hours. The structure of the event (iiO) stands as the following:
An objective-type test of 60 minutes duration, comprising 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for classes I and II; and 50 MCQs for the classes III to XII. The question paper is class specific and usually consists of three sections:
(i) Section-1 : Computer Science
(ii) Section-2 : Reasoning and Aptitude
(iii) Section-3 : Scholar’s Zone
The medium of the test is English only. The iiO is conducted on two dates. Each school may select a date for conducting the Olympiad as per its convenience. Each date of the Olympiad has a separate set of question papers.
About Test Paper
The language medium is English only. The examination is being conducted for all classes from 1st to 12th with the following details.
For Classes 1-2 : There will be 40 questions and the duration will be of 60 Minutes.
For Classes 3-12 : There will be 50 questions and the duration will be of 60 Minutes.
The details of the manner in which the test is to be conducted will be sent with the question papers. The questions will be of objective type in nature with multiple choice answers. There is no negative marking. For classes 3rd onward OMR answer sheets will be provided.

3rd | 3rd Intl. Olympiad rank holder in each class will be awarded with a Cash Prize of Rs. 2,500/- along with a winner’s Trophy. |
4th to 10th | 4th to 10th Intl. Olympiad rank holders in each class will be awarded Medals of Excellence. |
11th to 500th | 11th to 500th Intl. Olympiad rank holders in each class will be awarded with the topper achievement certificate. |
1th, 2th and 3rd | All Zonal Rank 1st, 2nd 3rd rank holders of all classes will be awarded Medals of Excellence |
1st, 2nd 3rd | Class Topper 1st, 2nd 3rd rank holders of every class of each school will be awarded with Medals of Excellence, provided the topper obtains at least 50% marks |
All | All the participants will be awarded with the participation Certificate Reflecting their Class/Zonal/Olympiad Ranks and Marks. |
Note :
** For up to 10 students getting the same rank, the award amount will be distributed equally. In addition, each winner will be awarded a Symbolic Golden Medals of Excellence in the relevant category and Certificate.
** In case 11 & more students get the same rank, in lieu of cash award, each winner will be awarded with a Medals of Excellence ( in the relevant category) and a Certificate.
At School Level :
1. Medals to Class Toppers.
The top three rank holders will be awarded with Medals of Excellence, provided they secure more than or equal to 50% Marks.
2. Chapter wise Performance Analysis Report for each participating student.
** Every student who appears in this Olympiad will be provided with a Chapter wise Performance Analysis Report. It is a detailed analysis of how the student attempted the exam.
** The objective of the Report is to share with the student and her / his parents, analysis of student’s answers. This is expected to enable the student understand her/his strengths and areas requiring improvement in absolute terms and also on a competitive scale consisting of lacs of students who appeared in the Olympiad.
