Mechano MMXV Competitions 2015 :

The Mechanical department of JNTUK- UCE, Vizianagaram is proud to present its Fifth National level Technical Symposium MECHANO-MMXV. The overwhelming response from the participants from the previous four National Level Technical Symposiums have lead the department of Mechanical Engineering of this institute to organise the Fifth National Level Technical Symposium MECHANO- MMXV.

Movie Manix Short Film Competition :

Anyone can now make a short film—but if you want to make a good film it will take time, preparation, and some expense. But if this is something you really want to do, putting the time now, it will make all the difference later.

Your short film should be an original motion picture that has a running time of 20 minutes or less, including all credits.

Rules :
1. Maximum of five people can form a team.
2. Students from any college and any branch can form a team.
3. Copy films are not accepted. Originality is important.
4. If found copied from web or any other sources, you will be disqualified.
5. A theme/trailer of maximum 120seconds should be sent while getting yourself registered to the e- mail id given below
6. While registering, the team leader should specifically mention the event name (short films) in the registration form.
7. The final result will be judged by our organizers and judges, and it is final.

Last Date :
The last date of trailer submission is 09th December, 2015.

Poster Presentation :

Poster is a session that forms an excellent medium for authors to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. In addition, attendees find the poster sessions a good way to sample many papers. Finally you have a much longer interval of time to present your work to smaller groups in comparison to oral sessions, which combines text and graphics to make a visually pleasing presentation. The ideal poster is designed to attract attention, provide a brief overview of your work, and initiate discussion. Your message must be clearly and noticeably displayed to attract people who might have an interest in poster.

Abstract:
It is the brief note of topic that is not exceeding more than 200 words. This would be purely about the presentation you are going to give.

Rules :
1. A team has a maximum of three
2. Submit an abstract without more than two hundred words in IEEE
3. The size of the poster should be A2 OR A3
4. The font size should be large enough, so that it can be readable from 1 meter
5. The font style should be in new roman or Calibri.
6. The aspects considered in the competition are both technical and non technical content of poster,presentation skills and poster and appearance.
7. The final result will be judged by our organizers and judges, and is final.

Last Date :
The abstract should be sent before 09th December, 2015.

Robo Race :

Race against your opponent on a track full of difficulties, hurdles and shortcuts. Finish the race first… Show your driving skill and stand out as “THE FASTEST”.

Specifications:
1. Robot should fit in maximum of 25cm x 25cm x 25cm (l, b, h) box.
2. Maximum Weight- 4 kg. Excluding battery.
3. Power Supply- (12 to 24) V DC/AC (max)
4. Robot can be wired or wireless.
5. Robot should be four or six wheeled only.

Rules :
1. Player must keep his/her robot within the track, cutting of track may cause restart from last checkpoint
2. Direction lines and arrows indicate the checkpoint.
3. Robot should not damage the arena.
4. Maximum of 5 members are allowed in a team.
5. Hurdles may include Sand, Marbles, Wedges, Water, Dry clay, Grease, etc. College and organizing team will not be responsible for any damage of robot.
6. Use of Lego kit is not allowed.
7. Decisions of the judges will be final.
8. No. of rounds depends on no. of entries etc
