Applied Vivekananda Video Film Contest :

“Applied Vivekananda” is a pan-India competition to “induce and encourage the young and the not so young to participate and in the process, get to know about one of the greatest personalities ever born”, said the organisers Kolkata Sukriti Foundation.

Last date of receiving the DVDs and the required papers 10th December 2015.

Rules & Regulations :

Format:
Any format – from mobile phone cameras to 4K

Categories:
1. Teens (13 to 19)
2. Above Teens (20 upwards)

Prizes:
One first prize in each category; one second prize in each category and one runners-up prize in each category.

Prize Amount:
Rs 75,000/- for the FIRST PRIZE in each category
Rs 50,000/- for the SECOND prize in each category
Rs 25,000/- runners-up prize in each category.

Delivery:
Only DVDs will be accepted for the selection. Once selected, the video file will need to be sent – complete in all respects. The video files ideally should be mpeg4 with H 264 coded. .mov or avi files will also be accepted. Only those intimated will be required to send the video files within a week of intimation.

Not Allowed / Disqualification:
Any use of copyrighted material – video, picture, sketch or graphics or audio without written consent and/or proof of royalty payment will be automatically rejected. This includes downloaded youtube and/or similar digital downloads.

Duration:
Minimum 2 minutes – Maximum 10 minutes. Credit titles cannot be more than 12 seconds.

Language:
The entries submitted must have English sub-titles unless it is in English. Sub-titles must be within 65% of active width and 90% of active height.

Note:
** Any number of entries may be submitted by an individual.
** Each entry MUST have age proof, address proof and complete details of the Director, Cameraperson, sound recordist, Editor and all other persons giving creative inputs. These must be photocopies of relevant documents duly signed.
** All entries must come with an undertaking clearly mentioning that the Director and/or the crew will NOT have any objection to screening of the films in public, on public television in India and abroad, distributed as DVDs and / or uploaded on websites by the organizer and its authorized organizations.
** The selection will be by a panel of eminent jury members and their verdict will be final. No objections shall be entertained.
** Any entry will deem to have agreed to all the clauses mentioned above.
** Courier consignment note will not be proof of receiving the DVDs on time.
** Results will be declared by the 20th of December 2015.
** The tentative prize giving ceremony is 12th January 2016.
** Winners shall be notified by email / SMS. Those entitled to prizes will have to come to the venue. Only those in their teens will be allowed one person as an escort. Only AC three tier railway fare (both ways) shall be reimbursed on production of the railway tickets.
** The names of the members of the Jury shall be announced in due course.
** The participants are allowed to consult or take help from anyone except those associated with the organization of this contest.
