District Level Prize Money Quiz Competition 2015 :

District Level Prize Money Quiz Competition among  Higher Secondary and Degree Level Students on the subject ICT/E-Governance & Digital India Programme.

Date & Time : 7th July, 2015 from 11:00 AM onwards

Venue : Gyanpeeth Degree College, Nikashi
Team : Team comprising of two students. At least one team from each participating institution.

Prior Nomination :

** Names of the participating students/teacher and name of the Institution may kindly be sent through email baksa@nic.in or through SMS 9864323240(M) / 9401345577(M) on or before 5th July, 2015.

Registration : The team(s) with the teacher in charge should report at the venue at 11-00 AM sharp at the venue for registration.

Prize Money :

** First Winner-Rs. 5000/- plus participation certificate.
** Second Winner-Rs. 3000/- plus participation certificate.
** Third Winner-Rs. 2000/- plus participation certificate.

About Us :

** Baksa district was carved out of a part of Nalbari, Barpeta, Kamrup and small portion of Darrang district. As a result of historic BTC(Bodoland Territorial Council) accord signed on February 10, 2003, formed BTAD(Bodoland Territorial Autonomous District) with four districts namely Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri. Though the original word ‘Baksa’ is not above controversy, a good chunk of population prefer to use ‘Bagsa’ in lieu of ‘Baksa’. The popular assumption that ‘Baksa’ is the misspelt form of ‘Bangsa’–a ‘Dzonkha’ word meaning a farm house and a corridor as it is known that Bhutanese king and subjects used this area for trade and passage to the plains. ‘Bangsa’ (Bagsa or Baksa) was in fact one of the most important ‘Dooars’ of Bhutan.
