MercedesTrophy Golf Tournament 2015 :
Now in its 16th Edition in India, the MercedesTrophy – one of the biggest and finest amateur golf tournaments in the world – continues to go from strength to strength. The MercedesTrophy India edition started out in one city, Delhi, in 2000 and today it sees enthusiastic participation from over 2,500+ golfing aficionados in 13 cities across the country. The illustrious event, offers Indian golfers the opportunity to rendezvous with the greens while they rub shoulders with some of the game’s most successful proponents internationally.

The ‘Drive to the Major’ competition is unique to the MercedesTrophy, combining the premium amateur series with a major, The Open Championship. Since 2013 it is an inherent part of the MercedesTrophy and all countries participating in the MercedesTrophy World Final are also part of a special competition ‘Drive to the Major’ during the MercedesTrophy tournament series.
Regional Terms and Condition :
1. All participants will be required to register online at our website mercedestrophyindia.co.in.
2. Due to limited number of golfer slots, the registration entries will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis and lucky draw.
3. Only participants over 18 years of age (as of 1st January, 2015) will be permitted to compete.
4. Only MB owners of Mercedes-Benz vehicles that have been sold and registered in India are eligible for entry.
5. For vehicles registered in a Business name, only the designated user is eligible for entry.
6. Only one entry can be submitted per Mercedes-Benz vehicle owned.
8. Golf slot cannot be transferred to any other person. No nominations will be accepted.
9. Players are required to submit their latest proof of handicap certificate from their home club. The tournament committee reserves the right to determine the validity of any player’s handicap.
10. Handicap categories will be finalized for each regional according to the entries received in order to have equal opportunity for players in each category.
11. Only MB owners of Mercedes-Benz vehicles are eligible to the National Final.
12. The handicap of a player in the National final cannot be higher than the handicap used by the player at the regional stage.
13. As per the condition of the MercedesTrophy India, participants of National Final of last 5 years will not be eligible to qualify for the National Final in 15th Edition.
14. As per the pre-condition of the MercedesTrophy worldwide, members of ‘Team India’ of all previous World Finals will not be eligible to qualify for the National Final.
15. The Tournament Committee will consist of one representative from MercedesTrophy Office and the host club. The players shall agree to abide by all Rules and Conditions laid down by the committee. The decisions of the committee are final and binding regarding eligibility for entry to the Regional/National Final and the result so declared.
16. All over the world, handicap tournaments played among members of different clubs can cause discrepancies in the validity of declared handicaps. To promote fair play, MercedesTrophy will be using the internationally accepted Double Peoria handicap system which calculates fresh handicaps for players based on their performance on the course on any particular day at Regional rounds.
17. MB India reserves the right of admission for the participation.
18. The pictures and videos of the event and participants may be used for marketing purposes by Mercedes-Benz India on their platforms and collaterals.
