National Genius Search Examination :
** The National Genius Search Examination® 2016 (NGSE) is offered to students in India and schools following Indian curriculum abroad.

** It is available for class 4 to 12. NGSE – 2016 will be held in two phases:
Phase – 1 :
** NGSE Mains – 2016 will be held on Tuesday, 29th September 2015 and Saturday, 5th December 2015. Schools can choose a date.
Phase – 2 :
** NGSE Advanced – 2016, will be held at selected centers across India and abroad on Sunday, 28th February 2016 for those who have cleared the NGSE Mains (Phase – 1 test).
Syllabus of NGSE 2016 :
For Class IV – X:
** The NGSE for Class 4 to 10 are drawn from Mathematics and Science of the respective class. The NGSE also includes a few questions on General Knowledge related to scientific aspects.
For Class XI & XII:
** Students in Class XI & XII can choose any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Business Studies and Accountancy.

(1) 20th August 2015 for NGSE Mains held to be on Tue, 29th Sept 2015 and
(2) 25th Sept 2015 for NGSE Mains to be held on Sat, 5th Dec 2015
NGSE MAINS 2016 :
** Tuesday, 29th September 2015 or Saturday, 5th December 2015
Results of NGSE Mains 2016 :
** Thursday, 26th January 2016
Final Test: NGSE Advanced 2016
** Sunday, 28th February 2016
Results of NGSE Advanced 2016 :
** Thursday, 14th July 2016
How to apply :
STEP – I :
** Collect the Registration Fee from students:
** Please collect the NGSE Examination fee from the participating students. The NGSE Examination
Fee details :
** NGSE FEE to be collected from students India – Rs. 350
** NGSE FEE to be collected from students Abroad – Rs. 500
** Portion of the Fee retained by Schools towards administrative expenses India – Rs. 50 or Rs. 80*
** Portion of the Fee retained by Schools towards administrative expenses Abroad – Rs. 100
** Balance Fee to be remitted by the school per student India – Rs. 300 or Rs 270*
** Balance Fee to be remitted by the school per student – Rs 400
STEP –II:
** Complete the School Participation List (SPL)
** Complete the School Participation List (SPL) with students’ details. It can be downloaded from the Download Center of the website.
STEP –III: Remit the Fee Collected
** Out of the fee collected, the school should retain the test administration expanses for the school as mentioned above. Remit the balance fee to the account of the NGSE administering agency – Entrancemaster India Private Limited.
The fee can be paid to the NGSE administering agency’s account in the following ways:
** By sending a Demand Draft / Multicity cheque, favouring Entrancemaster India Private Limited, payable at Mumbai.
** By depositing cash in the account of NGSE administering agency at any of the State Bank of India branches across India.
** By NEFT / RTGS / SWIFT/ Net banking to transfer the fee to the NGSE administering agency
STEP –IV: Forward the SPL & Fee
** Send the completed SPL along with the Demand Draft / Proof of Fee payment to the following address

** Alternately, schools can send a soft format of the completed SPL, with Fee payment details to ngse@ngsfindia.org with copy to ngsfindia@gmail.com
** As we receive the details of deposit / transfer, we shall send you the receipt of payment and thereafter, the Student Enrollment Numbers, if not allotted already.

Why should you imposed so much fees for the exam? It feels now everyone's going to business minded. Kindly make this exams serve to maximum students. Its my humble request .

I am a student of b.com part 2. So can I participate in this competition?
I am from Thane. My daughter's school is charging Rs 500 for registration fees for NGSE exam. According to NGSE it is Rs.350 including all expenses. Why school are charging Rs.50 more. Please reply.

Can't we give personally this exam without involvement of school and online?
Q: Can I register my child register directly (not though school) for the NGSE? Where she / he can get the center allotted?
From AY 2013-14 onwards direct individual registrations are not allowed due to logistic constraints. Parents / Students are requested to persuade their schools to participate.
Can't we give online examination?
Can a Student apply individually, not from school side?
Can a student of a governmental school apply for it individually not through school?
