State Level Science Project Contest-2023 for VIIIth to Xth standard school students on 4th November 2023 organized by SLIET Longowal. This is an opportunity for ambitious & talented students to come at forefront of innovation and be inspired to explore passions. Last date for submission of synopsis is 25.10.2023.

A state level science project contest will be organized on 4th November 2023 for class VIIIth to Xth standard school student to showcase their talent through Working and Non-working models based on the focal theme “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for smart agriculture with green environment”.
This is an opportunity for ambitious & talented students to come at forefront of innovation and be inspired to explore passions. In order to sow the seeds of innovation for the golden era of science and technology, this Science project contest will be a unique experience for the students.
Guidelines for all participants of Science Project Contest
The following key aspects of the competition may be kept in mind for participation:
** The participating school can put up a maximum of three projects/models
** A school team may be represented by a maximum of three students per project and one escort Science Teacher.
** The project/model may be either (a) A working model or (b) A Non-working model
** The participating school/team will have to bear all expenses related to participation in the event.
** Outstation teams coming from 100 kms and above will be provided accommodation on 3rd and 4th November 2023 in the campus on request basis.
** Working lunch will be provided to all the participants and accompanying teachers.
Guidelines for the selected teams :
** Participation certificate will be issued to all.
** Each team will be provided with a stall.
** Participants should carry school ID cards
** The project will be evaluated by senior faculty members
** Judgement will be based on the concept, model, overall presentation and explanation of project.
Synopsis of Science Project Contest
** Students can submit a brief write-up about the theme of working or non-working science model by mentioning:
1. Aim 2. Principles 3. Brief description explaining the project in 150-200 words.
** Selection of participation to the event is based on evaluation of Synopsis
Call for Entries of Science Project Contest
The theme for the State Level Science Project Contest for school students of VIIIth to Xth standard would be “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for smart agriculture with green environment” pertaining to the areas such as-
** Smart Agriculture
** Green Environment
** GPS through Drone
** Energy- Resources and Conservation
** Food safety, Health and Hygiene
** Nanotechnology & Electronics in Everyday life
** Global warming
** Waste and Disaster Management (Areas listed above are suggestive. Students are free to choose any other areas and develop/exhibit within Scientific and Technological Innovations)

Announcement of selected teams: 30.10.2023
List of selected teams will be published on www.sliet.ac.in and individual teams will be informed through e-mails.

Cash prize will be given to top three participants in each WORKING and NON-WORKING MODEL category Cash Prize

1st Prize (2): Rs. 10000/- Each
2nd Prize (3): Rs. 5000/- Each
3rd Prize (3): Rs. 3000/- Each

** Highly educated and experienced faculty
** Excellent infrastructure: class rooms, laboratories, hostels (Boys and Girls), library, workshops, sports complex, swimming pool, auditorium, shopping complex, post office, bank, student activity center etc. SLIET is a residential campus with ten hostels for boys and four for girls, accommodating about 4000 students which include about 1000 Girl students
