What is Chitranjali Photography Competition?
Chitranjali brings to you a photography fest from last 24 years, invited participants from all over the country. Chitranjali’s “The Festivals of India” is a contest offering a platform to display the culture of the country through the photographs of the festivals of the entire country. Chitranjali invites participants from all over the India, with photographs of celebration and festive joy. The contest is open to all professionals and all newly budding photographers. Last Date of Contest is 30th January 2024.

Eligibility of Chitranjali Photography Competition
** The contest is open to all professionals and all newly budding photographers.
** This competition is for any age group above 16 years as of 1st July 2023.

First Prize: 1,00,000₹
Second Prize: 50,000₹
Third Prize: 20,000₹
4th to 25th position consolation prizes of 1000₹

First Prize: 11,000₹

Third Prize: 3,000₹
Rules & Regulations of Chitranjali Photography Competition
** 25th Chitranjali – THEME – FESTIVALS OF INDIA 2024 & THEME – SHRI RAM UTSAV PHOTOGRAPHY
** Just Register your account with your required detail and after login you can submit you entries of photograph for the competition. Only This year(2023-24) clicked Photograph is valid in the theme of Festivals of india.
Registration Fees :
** The entry fee free for Chitranjali Festival of India and Shri Ram Utsav, the applicant can submit maximum of 4 photographs in both competition.
** Theme – Festvials of india & Shri Ram Utsav
Pictures of all religions will be included in the competition such as : Deepavali, Holi, Eid, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Basant Panchami, Mahashivratri, Mewar, Vaishakhi, Bihu, Rath Yatra, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali, Guru Parv, Chhat pooja, nongkrem, wangala, hornbill, losar festival, Christmas and All other festivals which are celebrated in India all photographs will be valid for the competition.
** Theme – Shri Ram Utsav
** Photographs from January 1, 2024 to 30 January 2024 will be valid for various events being held across the country on the occasion of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha. *The decision of committee over the controversial pictures will be final and it has all the rights to exclude them from competition.
Rewarding Criteria :
Only one photo of a photographer can be awarded , if 2 photos are selected for the award, then jury will select the best photo of the two and exclude the second photo from the award. Its objective is to reward maximum number of contestants.
Last Date :
Photos will not be accepted after the announced last date
File Format :
** File Size – not less than 1 Mb and not more than 3 Mb each
** If required, only JPEG File compression may be allowed, at highest quality setting.
** Name, signature, water marks, border, company name etc are not to be affixed on the pictures or the captions. Such entries will be disqualified.
Original Self Clicked pictures, with full copyright ownership:
All entries must be original pictures, clicked by the participant only. The participant should have copyright to the pictures. Entries that are plagiarised, violate copyright, trademarks, intellectual property, or lifting pics off the internet and claiming as own will be instantly disqualified.
Accurate Contact Details:
All communication with participants will be through a medium of E-mail Mobile and Whatsapp. Hence, accurate valid details and checking for regular communication is the participants sole responsibility.
Additional Requirements:
** Shortlisted participants will be required to provide the following for authentication to move ahead in the competition
** RAW FILES in Specified file formats to further process the application.
** Unchanged EXIF Details Images where such details are not available or not provided are liable to be discarded
** A personal interview with jury panel – the format of an audio or video interview will be discretion of Organizer and the Jury Panel
Decision of Jury : The decision of Jury and Judges is final and binding on all participants
Fraud Prevention : In order to rule out fraud, shortlisted and winning entries will be required to furnish government approved proof of identity, residence.
Winners of Selection for Chitranjali Photography Competition
** Winning entries may be given cheque required to give bank account details , to receive prizes according to Indian Tax laws.
** The photographs which photographer had submitted for the contest can be used at an exhibition, printing in journals, newspaper, magazines, Website, social media platforms or on any hoardings/standees by the following organisations;
i. Parikshit Care Society
ii. Rotary Club Jabalpur
iii. Chitranjali Society
** without any extra charge or permission picture can be use for display. In case of any future dispute, the matter shall dealt by the Jabalpur High Court.
** Potographs taken in the year 2023-2024 will be eligible in the competition, photographs sent in previous editions of Chitranjali will not be valid in the 25th Chitranjali Photo Contest. If a photograph of a previous edition is found, it will be rejected.
** The prize money will be paid in Indian currency at the Indian branch of any Indian Bank.
** Payment will be made after deducting tax as per Indian tax rules.
