What is Star Suvarna Golden Number Contest?

“Golden Number Contest” will be hosted by Star India Private Limited. for the purpose of promotion and viewer engagement of the program titled “Janaki Samsara” on its channel ‘Star Suvarna’. The Contest will be conducted on the Channel. The Participant(s) interested in participating in the Contest must be Citizen of India and Resident of Karnataka State. Last Date of Contest is 11th May 2024.

Eligibility of Janaki Samsara Golden Number Contest

The Participant(s) interested in participating in the Contest must be
1. Citizen of India,
2. 18 years (eighteen) and above years
3. Resident of Karnataka State
4. The Participant(s) should not have been previously convicted of any criminal offense or must not be a party to an arrangement or a contract that prevents them from participating in the Contest.

6. The Employees of the SIPL, the Production Houses of the programs of Star Suvarna and other channels of SIPL, the advertising agency or any other agency or third-party vendor which has been appointed from time to time, and also employees of the main sponsors of the programs of Star Suvarna and other channels of SIPL and members of their immediate family, are not eligible to participate in the Contest

How to Participate in the Golden Number Contest?

1. SIPL shall announce the Contest via promos on the Channel and other channels of SIPL, and digital platforms of the Channel (Facebook and Instagram) or through any other medium of exploitation which shall be at the sole discretion of SIPL.

2. The Contest shall be conducted on six (6) days commencing from May 6, 2024 at 08:00 PM Indian Standard Time (“IST”) and shall conclude on May 11, 2024 at 08:30 PM IST (“Contest Period”) on the Channel. For sake of clarity it is clarified that the Contest Period shall consist of total 6 (six) days and thus the total number of questions will be 6 (six) during the Contest Period.

3. The Contest shall comprise of 1 (one) multi choice question on each day of the Contest Period with two answer options, based on the episode of the Program telecasted in the Channel on the day between 08:00 PM IST and 08:30 PM IST of (“Question/s) during telecast of the Program.

** It is clarified that the Questions will be refreshed on each day based on the episode of the Program. It is further clarified that the Question shall be triggered only at the end of the telecast of the Program ie., at 08:30 PM IST on each day of the Contest Period and no other time.

** It is clarified that each Question of the Contest triggered during the Contest Period shall be strictly based on the contents of the Program being telecast on the Channel from 08:00 PM to 08:30 PM. It is clarified that the Question shall be exhibited on a graphical slate at the end of telecast of the episode of the Program ie., at 08:30 PM IST.

4. To participate in the Contest and to be eligible for the Gratification (as defined below), the interested Participant(s) shall be required to correctly answer any Question(s) exhibited on graphical slate at end of telecast of the respective episode of the Program, by making a missed call to the unique mobile numbers shown against the correct answer option to the Question (“Answer/ Entry”).

** The phone lines shall remain opened for one (1) hour from the end of telecast of the respective episode of the Program that means till 09:30 PM (“Answer Timeline”) of each day of the Contest Period.

Gratification for Golden Number Contest

** AT the end of the Contest Period and on the basis of the Participant (s) having made a valid Entry and correct Answer(s) within the Answer Timelines, to the respective Question triggered during telecast of the respective episode, SIPL will shortlist 5 Participants (“Shortlisted Participants”) on randomiser basis, for the entire Contest.

** Out of the 5 (five) Shortlisted Participants, SIPL will, based on the above criteria, select one Participant as the final winner by using randomiser for the entire Contest (“Winner”).
** The Winner shall be entitled to a gratification of 7(seven) travel vouchers of worth not exceeding Rs.30,000/- which can be redeemed when he/she travels anywhere along with his/her members of family (7 members) (“Gratification”).
** It is further clarified that SIPL shall at its sole discretion select the Winner based on the criterion (randomizer) mentioned herein.

General Rules of Janaki Samsara Golden Number Contest

1. In the event of any fault, misunderstanding or dispute concerning any part of the Contest, the decision of SIPL shall be final.
2. The Participant(s) interested in participating in the Contest must fulfill the Eligibility mentioned in clause I above

3. Proof of age, if requested, of the Participant(s) must be submitted to SIPL (i.e., Birth Certificate, 10th Class leaving Certificate/ School certificate/ passport/ an affidavit signed by a magistrate and attested in such manner) as may be required by SIPL to confirm the eligibility of the Participant(s).

4. The Participant(s)/ Winner represents and undertake to execute and produce such further documents as may be required by SIPL in relation to the Contest.
5. Participant(s) agree, understand and acknowledge that there is no Gratification for merely sending Entry in the Contest.
6. Each Participant(s)/Winner(s) consents to the use of information submitted by the Participant(s)/ Winner(s) including the Entry(s)/ Answer(s) for the purpose as set out in these Terms and Conditions.
7. SIPL reserves the right to cancel and/ or postpone the Contest without assigning any reasons and/ or without giving any prior intimation to the Participant(s).
8. In case a Participant(s)/ Winner/ is found to be in non-conformance of the Terms and Conditions, Terms of Use, User Generated Content or Privacy Policy, then SIPL will disqualify the Entry/ Answer received from such Participant(s)/ Winner(s).
9. The Terms & Conditions shall be advertised sufficiently across the Website to ensure that no Participant is misled and understands the entire participation process prior to participating in the Contest.
