What is Tata Be Her Comrade Scholarship Contest?

Comrades Marathon 2025 Be Her Comrade #BeHerComrade Scholarship Contest is organized by Tata. This all-inclusive scholarship is a unique opportunity for a passionate female marathon runner to participate in Comrades Marathon 2025 in South Africa. Contest participants must be 18 years of age or older on the date of their application submission. Last Date of nomination is 24th May 2024.

Eligibility of Comrades Marathon

Age Requirement: Contest participants must be 18 years of age or older on the date of their application submission.
Previous Comrades Participants: Participants who have previously participated in Comrades or who will be participating in Comrades 2024 are not eligible for this scholarship.
Gender Requirement: This contest is open exclusively to female participants, though nominations can be submitted by any individual.

Disqualification and Other Conditions :
** The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant, who violates these Terms & Conditions or engages in misconduct.
** The Organizer holds the exclusive and irrevocable right to terminate the participation of any prospective or selected participant at any point of time during the scholarship.
** The Organizer is not responsible for any injuries or damages incurred by the participants during the contest, preparation, or the Comrades 2025 event.
** The Organizer reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be communicated through the Organizer’s official website and social media channels.
** The Organizer retains the right to modify or alter any contest activities at any time, or to disqualify any participant, at its sole discretion, without prior notice.

Terms & Conditions of #BeHerComrade Scholarship Contest

Verification and Documentation :
** Tata Ultra Marathon reserves the right to request documents to verify the information provided in the nomination form.
** Failure to produce valid documents or providing incorrect information will result in disqualification from the contest.

Disclosure of Medical Conditions :
** All participants must disclose any medical conditions or past injuries in the nomination form.
** If any undisclosed medical condition or past injury is identified during medical tests conducted for the contest, this may result in disqualification.

Publicity and Media Release :
** Each participant acknowledges and hereby consents that the data concerning their running history, past race performances, notable accomplishments, and their desire to participate in the contest, as gathered from the application form, may be utilized in any manner on social media, websites, and any other available media by the organizers.
** The selected participant must agree to be photographed and videographed during the entire duration of the scholarship, including training, preparations, and participation in Comrades 2025.
** The participant acknowledges that these photographs and videos may be used for promotional purposes by Tata Ultra Marathon and its affiliates.

Passport Requirement :
** The selected participant must possess an Indian passport valid until December 2025.
** If the selected participant does not have a valid passport, it is their responsibility to obtain one within 90 days of their selection. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Scholarship Details of Comrades Marathon

The #BeHerComrade scholarship is designed to support one deserving female marathon runner. The scholarship will cover the following:
Mentorship: Access to experienced coaches and mentors to guide the recipient in their preparation for Comrades 2025
Logistics: Travel, accommodation, and registration fees for Comrades 2025, TUM 2025 & one qualifying race for Comrades 2025
Guidance and Support: Comprehensive support throughout the journey, including training plans, nutrition advice, mental preparation & training gears (Kits)
Journaling the complete experience of the runner including preparation for the event, training sessions, races , Comrades 2025 & other events in the run-up

How to Nominate in the Comrades Marathon?

** Nominations are open to the public, allowing you to nominate a female marathon runner.
** Runners can also self-nominate.

Nomination Process :
To nominate a runner or self-nominate, follow these steps:
** Fill the Nomination form on https://forms.gle/jPzTY8rdmhehjzTJA or scan the QR to start the process.
** Provide information about the nominee or yourself, including running achievements, personal story, and why they/ you would be an excellent candidate for the scholarship.
** Include any relevant details, such as race results, personal statement, etc.
** Ensure the completed form is submitted by the deadline.
