What is Fast India Science Festival Competition?
India Science Festival (ISF) Spin Your Science & Talk Your Thesis Competition 2025 is organized by Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology (Fast India). India Science Festival (ISF) is India’s largest non-governmental platform for the public celebration of science & technology! The competition is open to Science Students & sci-fi enthusiasts. The entry to ISF is free and open to all, in keeping with our ambition to make science accessible to all. Cash prizes up to Rs.30,000 up for grabs, for each competition. Last Date of SYS Competition is 29th August 2024.

ISF Spin Your Science Competition
Spin Your Science (SYS) is the flagship science fiction writing competition of the India Science Festival, designed to ignite the imaginations of students, researchers, and professionals. In a recent SYS webinar, Professor Sami Ahmed Khan, a renowned sci-fi author, emphasized that science fiction serves as a narrative mirror to our society.
Who is eligible to Participate?
** The competition is open to all sci-fi enthusiasts! There are no restrictions on age, background, education, or nationality! We’re looking at bringing attention to all you talented people, who can combine science with creativity.
** Participants need to have an Indian Bank Account to participate.
Guidelines for Spin Your Science
** Your science story should be strictly under 1500 words. Poems shouldn’t exceed 400 words. Entries exceeding the word limit will be automatically disqualified.
** All entries must be original. This means that your poem or story should not have been published elsewhere, in any form. The entry should not have been previously submitted to any competition (online or offline). In short, we need you to be as original and imaginative as possible!
How to Submit for Spin Your Science?
The story/poem should be submitted in both Word and PDF formats with the following typeface:
Font: Arial
Size: Title – 12, Body – 10
Margins: 2.5 cm
Spacing: 1.0
Word Limit:
Stories: Under 1500 words
Scientific poetry: Under 400 words
Submissions should be in English. If you are submitting an entry written in a regional language, please share its English Translation for our reference. The deadline for submission is 29 August 2024.

ISF Talk Your Thesis Competition
Talk Your Thesis (TYT) is one of the flagship competitions of the India Science Festival (ISF) which provides a platform to budding scientists and researchers to share their research in the most creative and exciting ways possible! TYT came into existence with the idea of bringing research from labs to the public and making it entertaining yet comprehensible.
Who Can Particiapte in the TYT?
** Anyone who is pursuing an MSc/MS/MTech/PhD/ Post Doc or has completed one in the past 12 months is eligible for this competition.
** Only those pursuing the above degrees from India and/or residing in India are eligible to apply, as the semifinal and final rounds require participants to be present in person at the India Science Festival.
Participation Process of Talk Your Thesis
** Register yourself through the form present on your right hand side.
** Send us your details and explain your research in a 2 minute short video once we reach out to you through email and share a google form with you.
** The 5 semi-finalists will be selected through a competitive process and the entries will be judged on the following parameters – presentation style, originality and creativity, content orgnanisation and creativity.
** The top 5 semi-finalists will be mentored by world renown experts in the field to polish their skills in order to compete in a closed door semi-finals at the festival venue in January 2025.
** The top 3 candidates will compete in the finals and deliver a public performance in front of a live audience at the India Science Festival in January 2025, at Pune.

Step 1 : Fill the form present below and click on the Submit button.
Step 2 : Once you submit your details, you will receive an email from the India Science Festival team. We will share a google form with you as part of the second step of the application process.
Step 3 : Submit your 2-minute trailer video through the google form along with your resume and 250 word abstract of your scientific research.
