What is NHRC Human Rights Photography Competition?
NHRC Human Rights Photography Competition 2024 is organized by MyGov. The competition is open to Indian citizens. There is no entry fee to participate in the contest. The applicant can send a maximum of two photographs under two different themes for the competition. The Photographs should be submitted as entries on the shortlisted themes in JPG/JPEG/ PNG format. Last Date of Contest is 7th July 2024.

Themes of NHRC Human Rights Photography Competition
The Themes for the competition are as follows:

Eligibility of NHRC Human Rights Photography Competition
The competition is open to Indian citizens.
There is no entry fee to participate in the contest which is open to Indian citizens of age 14 years and above only.
Prizes of NHRC Human Rights Photography Competition
The cash prizes are:
** 1st Prize 15,000/-
** 2nd Prize 10,000/-
** 3rd Prize 5,000/-
** 7 consolation prizes of Rs. 2,000/- for each
Terms & Conditions of NHRC Photography Competition
** The submission will be through either the MyGov portal or the NHRC Website nhrc.nic.in not through both to avoid duplication.
** Participants can take part in the contest by registering on MyGov.
** All the participants to ensure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since this profile shall be used for further communication. This includes details such as name, e-mail id and mobile number.
** Submissions beyond the last date and time of submission shall not be considered.
** The applicant can send a maximum of two photographs under two different themes for the competition.
** Photos should be originally shot by the applicant and if these are found to be infringing copyright, these will be rejected.
** No signatures, stamps or any other identifying mark is allowed anywhere on the entry.
** The photographs should be shot in HD Standard having pixel appropriate size of 3600×5400 and an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 3:2 and the image size should not more than 2MB to ensure a good printable quality of the photographs when required.
** Digital Manipulation and any kind of Photoshop effects are not allowed; only basic colour corrections are allowed.
** Photographers must be the copyright owner of the submitted photographs, and photographs must not violate any third-party rights. The photographer has the liability for copyrights and non-violation of any third-party rights.
** The Photographs should be submitted as entries on the shortlisted themes in JPG/JPEG/ PNG format.
** Once submitted for the competition, copyrights will solely be with NHRC, India.
** The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
** In case of selection of the photographs for awards, the applicants will be required to send a hard print of the same in 18×24 inches.
** Entries of participants/applicants who fail to furnish complete profiles may be rejected.
** There will be no notification to participants of entries who are not selected as winners.
** All the entries received would be assessed for awards by a Selection Committee for the final evaluation.
** The entries will be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, and clarity in communicating the theme.
** The decision of the Selection Committee would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants on any decision of the Selection Committee.
** Winner shall be required to provide the original open-source file of the submitted entry.
** Bank details will be required to be submitted by the winners after the announcement of the result of the competition. Non-furnishing of the above information/documents at the appropriate stage will render the selection null and void.
** All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves.
** Prize money will be transferred to the winner only through electronic transfer as per the bank details submitted by the winner via email.
