What is KITT ICDCIT Project Innovation Contest?

21st ICDCIT 2025 14th Project Innovation Contest 2025 is organized by KIIT Kalinga Institute Of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. PIC platform is open to the students of B.E, B. Tech, MCA, BCA, BSc (CS&IT) and MSc (CS&IT) to showcase their technical skills and innovative thinking in solving real life problems. The sole objective of PIC is to motivate the student community to develop inventive projects that shall ameliorate the human lifestyle and society at large. Last Date of Contest is 10th November 2024.

Themes of Project Innovation Contest

The primary themes of Project Innovation Contest are given below but not restricted to:
** Software projects
** Android apps
** Web based projects
** Cloud Computing projects
** Automated Systems in Agriculture/ Healthcare
** Networking Projects
** Non-renewable energy source models
** Ecosystem maintenance
** Big Data Analytics
** Image processing projects
** NLP based Project
** VLSI projects
** Automatic Speech Recognition(ASR) based Project
** Information security projects
** Biomedical / Bioinformatics Projects
** Internet of Things
** Embedded systems projects
** Micro-controller projects
** Robotics projects

** The submitted projects will pass through the blind peer review process. The selected project groups will be invited to showcase their work with demonstrated models and presentation during the conference.
** The best 3 projects will be awarded attractive prizes. Further, all the selected projects’ work will be published in a proceeding/book form with an ISBN (approval under progress).

Eligibility of Project Innovation Contest

** A team must comprise of not more than 3 members (2 students + 1 advisor/mentor/guide).
** Students can be from any stream of B.E / B.Tech /MTech / MCA /MSc/ MBA/ BCA/ BBA/MBA/MBBS/ BSc(Comp. Science) and Diploma.
** Each team must have an advisor/mentor/guide.
** Members of a team must be affiliated with the same educational institute.
** The project has to be recommended by the head of the Institute/Department.

Submission of Project Innovation Contest

** Soft copy of the project template, must be submitted through the Microsoft CMT Link only.
** Only selected projects will be called for the presentation and that will be intimated through their provided email id.
** Contestants need to meet all of the following requirements at the time of the final contest presentation;
i. Be enrolled as a student at an accredited educational institution.
ii. Not be involved in any part of the administration of the contest.
iii. Not already enrolled in another team with a different project.

Evaluation Criteria of Project Innovation Contest

i. Each project will be evaluated by a minimum of two reviewers.

ii. The evaluation will be mainly based on the following key points:
** Innovation
** Societal contribution
** Technology Adopted
** Cost Incurred
** Commercial Implications.
** Compliance to any two of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)

Facility:
Hostel accommodation will be provided to the participants of the selected project for the presentation(3 members only).
To-and-fro fare (only Sleeper Class) will be provided to outside participants.

Prize of Project Innovation Contest

1st Prize: Rs. 15,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 7,000/-
