What is DBHRGFTI Assam Photography Contest?
Photography Contest to celebrate World Photography Day 2024 is organized by Department of Cinematography of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute DBHRGFTI Assam. Anyone from North East states can participate in the contest. Photos must be in JPEG format. Photographs submitted must be original, created and/or taken by the participants. Only online submissions will be accepted, through the provided link. The winners will be recognised with certificates and Total prize money is Rs.50000. Last Date of Contest is 5th August 2024.

Guidelines of Photography Contest
Basic Submissions Guidelines For Photographs
1. Only online submissions will be accepted, through the provided link
2. No submissions will be accepted after the deadline.
3. Photos must be in JPEG format.
4. Photos must have dimensions of at least 2000 pixels on the longer side and at least 640 pixels on the shorter side. Images size should be less than 50 MB.
5. Contestant may submit maximum 2 nos. of images.
6. All submitted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata information. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.
7. Cropping of the Photo(s) including colour enhancement, is acceptable provided any such editing does not affect the genuineness of the Photo(s).
8. Advanced editing involving any kind of manipulations, addition and removal of significant elements within the frame is not allowed.
Judging Criteria of Photography Contest
1. Department of Cinematography, DBHRGFTI will appoint judges for the contest. This will comprise expert and artist in the field of photography.
2. The judging panel shall assess and determine the winning Photos. The results and the winners will be announced on the website.
3. The decision of judging panel will be final and binding on all Participants in respect to all matters relating to the Contest.
4. The Institute reserves the right to call for original JPEG or RAW files with unchanged EXIF for the purpose of authentication. An image may be disregarded if this information cannot be provided.
Intellectual Property Rights of Photography Contest
1. Photographs submitted must be original, created and/or taken by the participants. It must not contain any materials owned or controlled by a third party for which you have not obtained a license, must not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
2. Institute respects photographers’ copyrights and copyrights shall remain with the creator of the image. By submitting, you grant the organization the right to publish, reproduce, display, distribute, print, in whole or in part, in any form, in all media forms now or hereafter known, the photograph to promote the contest, or educative use in the institute.
3. The Photographer will be credited wherever the image is used.
