What is e-Yantra Robotics Competition?
e-Yantra Robotics Competition eYRC 2024-25 is organized by e-Yantra. The Contest is For full time Engineering/ Science/ Polytechnic/ Arts college students in universities/ colleges, for a degree in any discipline. Conducted completely online over a period of 5-6 months in a “LEARNING while COMPETING” mode. An exceptional hands-on learning experience to complement and enhance your engineering curriculum. Work in a team and learn “Collaboration” and “Creativity”- critical 21st Century Skills. Last Date of Contest is 25th August 2024.
Theme of e-Yantra Robotics Competition
** A theme alternates between training in skills through tasks and then getting teams to compete in a problem based on those skills. Stage 1 of the competition trains in basic skills. In Stage 2 of the competition, ONLY selected teams are admitted and are provided with the relevant hardware.

** Our abstracted gamified problem statements (called Themes) range from a variety of skills including Robot Operating System (ROS), Drone Control, Machine Learning, Image Processing, 3D Designing, Embedded Systems, Control Systems Design, Functional Programming, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) programming, Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing, and much more.
Who Can Participate in the e-Yantra Robotics Competition?
** Open for ALL STUDENTS across the world
** For full time Engineering/ Science/ Polytechnic/ Arts college students in universities/ colleges, for a degree in any discipline.
** Register as a team of 2-4 members; team members can be of any year/branch/department BUT must belong to the same college/institution.
** Each student can join only one team.
** One member of the team should be designated as the team leader, who is responsible for all communications with e-Yantra.
Registration Fee of e-Yantra Robotics Competition
All registered teams are directly inducted into Stage 1 of the competition.

International Teams :

How do I register for the competition?
You can register for the competition by clicking on the Register Your Team! button of the website portal.e-yantra.org. Registration is simple, just follow the instructions.
Is there a fee to participate?
Yes, there is a nominal registration fees.
Details regarding the same are available on portal.e-yantra.org in the Register tab.
NOTE: You will be directly inducted into Stage 1 of the competition and like every year, you will be assigned interesting Themes to solve real-world problems. e-Yantra will provide curated resources, expert guidance and feedback.
How long is the registration site open?
Registrations are open till August 25th, 2025. But, we encourage you to register and do payment as early as possible especially if you want to grab the 20% Early Bird Discount.
Is registration enough to participate in the competition?
After the registration and payment, teams will be directly inducted to Stage 1 of the competition. Details will be announced on our website portal.e-yantra.org. and notified via email to the Team Leader.
How will I know that I have successfully registered for the competition?
After paying the fee, Payment tab on the portal flashes the message “Payment has been recorded!”. This indicates successful registration. Teams will also be notified via email.
What if I don’t receive the verification email?
On successful individual registration, individuals will receive a verification email. If not received, there can be any of the following reasons:
You may have entered a wrong email address. email is stored in Spam folder due to email settings.
Is the competition only open to Indian nationals?
We are happy to say that eYRC is an international robotics competition and colleges across the world participate in it.
Is the competition open to diploma students?
Yes, this competition is open to the Engineering/ Science/ Polytechnic/ Master of Engineering and equivalent degree students. Also, it is open for BCA and MCA students.
Do we have to build a robot for this competition?
This completely depends on the Theme assigned to you. Hardware (If applicable) and software requirements vary from theme to theme.
