What is Honourpoint Band-E-Mataram 2.0 Music Contest?
“Band-E-Mataram” 2.0 Music Contest 2024 is organized by Alive India Music Foundation, at Bhartiya City Mall of Bengaluru, in association with TVS Apache and supported by Honourpoint Foundation. Participants must be a minimum of 15 years old to enter the competition. There is no participation fee and only Indian nationals can eligible in the contest. Stand a chance to win 5 lakh+ worth of prizes overall across all categories. Last Date of Contest is 10th August 2024.

Aim of Music Contest
The purpose of this “Music Contest” is to create awareness about the fallen heroes of our Armed Forces among the public at large, especially the young Indians by igniting their musical talent while fostering national pride.
Theme of Music Contest
As India commemorates the 25th anniversary of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ this year, the Band-E-Mataram 2.0 spread over 15 Aug to 18 Aug 2924 would be – ‘A Tribute to Kargil War Heroes’.
Who can Participate in the Music Contest?
The contest is open to:
** All individuals over the age of 15 years.
** All music bands (With a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 9 members)
** There is no participation fee and only Indian nationals can take part in the contest.

Band-E-Mataram 2.0 Schedule at Bhartiya City Mall Bengaluru (15 Aug -18 Aug 2024)
15th Aug, Day 1 :
The morning starts with “Rang De Veer”: Painting contest & Flag Hoisting.
“Sounds of India” commencing at 5 pm by Alive India Rockstars including Ankita Kundu (Zee sa re ga ma pa finalist, Rising Star winner), Nibedita Pradhan (Swara Odisha winner, Indian Idol Semi-Finalist, State Award winner), Rithika Raj (Indian Idol Runner Up) and Supratiek Ghosh (Founder of Aurko Band and Alive India).
16th Aug, Day 2 :
The “Battle of Bands” starts at 5 pm.
** Highlight Act of Flute Fantasy Led by India’s leading flutist Vineeth Sharma.
17th Aug, Day 3 :
“Battle of Singers” starts at 5 pm.
** Followed by the highlight act by legendary guitarist Kalyan Baruah and renowned Indie Artist Suraj Mani.
18th Aug, Day 4 :
** The Grand Finale of “Battle of Bands” & “Battle of Singers” commences at 4 pm.
Prize Distribution for both the battles on stage.
** The final Act “Zubeen Garg Live” on this day celebrates 30 years in the independent music industry, with over 35,000 songs.

Rules of Music Contest
Battle of Bands Rules:
Age Limit: Participants must be a minimum of 15 years old to enter the competition.
Band Size: Each band member must consist of a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 9 members.
Equipment: Bands are responsible for bringing their own instruments and gear, except for drums, which will be provided by the organizers.
Performance Time: Each band will have a total of 15 minutes for their performance, including the time required for setting up and dismantling their equipment.
Original composition gets bonus points.
No Backing Tracks, no VST & no Vocal Processor.
Cheer Squad Points: In addition to the musical performance, bands can earn extra points based on the engagement and energy of their cheer squad. (The bigger the squad, the higher the points).
Battle of Singers Rules :
Age Limit: Participants must be a minimum of 15 years old to enter the competition.
Karaoke / Accompaniment: Singers can carry Karaoke or a musician to accompany them.
Equipment: Singers are responsible for bringing their instruments and gear.
Performance Time: Each singer will have a total of 10 minutes for his/her performance, including the time required for setting up and dismantling the equipment.
No VSTs & no Vocal Processor.
Cheer Squad Points: In addition to the musical performance, singers can earn extra points based on the engagement and energy of their cheer squad. (The bigger the squad, the higher the points)
Judging :
Alive India Music Foundation (hereafter referred to as the Organizers) has constituted a panel of judges comprising accomplished musicians from various genres for the contest. The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding on all participants concerning all matters relating to this contest.
How to Participate in the Music Contest?
The participants either participating in “Battle of Bands” or “Battle of Singers” should register at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1JyeO2gyC-Zh_5Jp3C7IURf1w6GUvQhwK8wloVb-tfko/viewform?edit_requested=true. Once registration is complete, the team from the organizers will get in touch with the participants and guide them through the next steps of the selection process.
